A small, nice campground not far from the border
We were there over the weekend as a small group. We arrived on the spur of the moment, without a reservation. We were allowed to choose our own spots and received a discount with the ADAC Campcard. Payment was due upon departure. There were shower cards where usage was billed for showering.
The expanded... grounds were very open, and there were no hedges, as shown on the site map. At first,
we had a hard time finding our way around. The washhouse is getting a bit old; there were only two single showers and two family showers. In one of the women’s showers, the water wouldn’t drain at all. It all flowed into the other shower stall and into the rest of the washroom/hallway.
The common room
was spacious and included a well-equipped kitchen, where we could sit together comfortably for a long time. There are many activities on-site, some of which are free and others available for a fee. They even had ice cream on-site, and at the Dagli Brugsen around the corner, we were able to buy fresh rolls and poppy seed bread. The site was quite steep in places. Electricity was a short distance away, and there were several water hookups in the immediate vicinity. A small, cozy campground.
One section is occupied almost exclusively by long-term campers (with about 8 spots for tourists), while the other section is primarily for tourists. The gravel road/access road has many large potholes in some places.

A lovely family gathering on the field
We used a total of 4 campsites. We didn’t book in advance and just drove here. The site made it onto our list because it offered places to sit—even in the bad weather—near the kitchens. We were happy to take advantage of that. The site also made our list because of its proximity to the swimming pool.... We didn’t end up using it, though. Our day trip to Römö went well. Check-in went completely smoothly. There’s plenty of space on-site. The campground has many seasonal campers. Many of them weren’t even there at the time. We also played disc golf. You can borrow the discs at the front desk.

We spent Easter 2010 at this beautifully situated campsite and really enjoyed the days. The children (4 and 10) had a lot of fun fishing, playing on the large playground and in the nearby indoor swimming pool. The site is manageable and very clean. You can tell that the new operators go to great lengths... to ensure that guests have a pleasant vacation. A gas station and a well-stocked supermarket are within easy walking distance. We have booked again for the summer and are already looking forward to it. Karsten, Ulli, Vonni and Alex from Hamburg.
