We stayed here for a few nights and were very disappointed with the quality of the campground. If it weren’t for the fact that we had a (paid) reservation, we would have driven right past it. This campground was one of our main stops, and we had high expectations based on the information on the website.... The restrooms are outdated, dirty, and in very poor condition. The toilets are located outside, so you’re sitting out in the elements while using the restroom. The campsites aren’t inviting. There are a number of permanent residents in dilapidated tents and (stationary) RVs—the kind you’d rather not encounter at a campground. In the end, we were the only ones on the campsite with the playground. Despite it being peak season, there were only a few guests—perhaps not surprising given our experience. The grounds aren’t fenced in, and uninvited guests can easily gain access through the exit. All the paths are unpaved (sand and gravel). The owner told us that the restrooms are being renovated and a swimming pool will be added. It won’t bother us, because we’ll never be coming back here. We ended up leaving a day early.
