Plots are large enough, good starting point for visiting Avignon and the surrounding area, cycling tours along the Rhone, sanitary facilities are clean and typically French.
Desventajas
nothing worth mentioning
quiet place near Avignon
This place is well located for exploring Avignon and the surrounding area (by bike or bus).
Unfortunately it was only a stopover, but I will stay here for longer (no advance booking necessary in May).

Many shady pitches of sufficient size. The location of the site and accessibility for larger motorhomes and caravans is good.
Desventajas
Sanitary facilities quite old and not very clean. No toilet seats and no toilet paper available. Also no hooks for hanging up a bag or similar. One of the two sanitary buildings was closed due to "problems".
Not a 4-star campsite
Offers too little for a 4-star campsite. Only electricity available directly at the pitch, relatively expensive. Sanitary facilities are outdated and not very clean.

Not for us
Friendly campsite near Avignon
We visited the site on our journey home. The site is easy to reach, even with larger camper vans and caravans, and the pitches are large and some are equipped with 8-amp electricity, with water available at central water points. There is a restaurant on the site and something for basic supplies, but... you need a car or bicycle for shopping. Take a shortcut through the town wall and you are in the village. The swimming pool can be used free of charge, but is only sparsely open in the off-season. The sanitary facilities are no longer the newest but were very clean during our visit. The toilets are, as is sometimes the case in France, without a ring and without paper but also clean. We will certainly visit this site again and can recommend it to others.

Ideal location
Courteous, friendly reception. From the second week of July onwards it is a matter of luck to get a pitch without a reservation (perhaps also because of the poor rating of the other pitches in the immediate vicinity of Avignon). Sufficiently large and sometimes very shady pitches, which is an advantage... in this area in summer. Sanitary facilities correspond to the French standard, so never, ever compare with CH/AT or DE. The facilities were clean and not permanently occupied due to the crowded campsite. Was it because there were a lot of campers doing their "business" in their vehicles? The store sells bread, snacks and drinks. Prices are in the high season range.... approx. E 36.- for pitch, 2 pers., electricity and cab Avignon is easy to reach by bike or bus. The public swimming pool (usually full) is free to use.

Quiet location Spacious pitches Friendly staff Free entry to the municipal swimming pool Free WLAN at the entrance area

Food supply needs car or bike
quiet, nice, spacious
The campsite is about 4 km from Avignon's old town. You are compensated for this by a very friendly manager who speaks English and German, as well as spacious pitches and a relaxed atmosphere. The pitches are mostly in the shade and are separated by hedges. Food supply is difficult without a car or bike. The sanitary facilities are quite old, but clean and in good condition.

Close to public transportation bus 1,40€. Swimming pool next door.
Ideal for sightseeing
We stayed at this campsite for 5 days. The reception was friendly, despite arriving at 13:00. At the time of our stay, the temperature was 34 degrees. The campsite also offers shade. We were able to take the bus to Avignon for 1.40€. The bus leaves every 15 minutes. We mainly wanted to visit the theater... festival; 7.7. - 30.7.2017. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years, but clean. You can buy food in the suburbs of Avignon, but you need a car.

The location right at the gates of Avignon and in Provence / the Luberon Price / performance Friendliness
Desventajas
The cicadas were loud during the day, but quiet at night and in the morning.
Super friendly and great location - we'll be back!!!! :-)))
We liked the French and English-speaking reception staff as soon as we arrived; they were always courteous, friendly and helpful. The pitches are level, sufficiently large and everyone will find their "favorite spot" here, from sunny to completely shaded by tall trees. The connection to Avignon is perfect... by bus or free Park & Ride (the parking lot is about 4 minutes by car from the campsite, the P&R buses run very often - thanks to the reception for this tip). The municipal outdoor pool (brand new) directly adjacent to the campsite can be used free of charge - tickets are available at the campsite reception. Tips: - Pre-order the breakfast baguette and croissants in the evening for the next morning (otherwise there is muesli) - if you expect to return after 8pm, get a key for the gate beforehand The wash houses are in order and clean. A renovation would be beneficial to the overall very positive impression.

Plumbing is just fine
The best place to visit Avingnon
We stayed for 2 days at this super nice little place in the new town (also 600 years old) of Avingnon. About 3-4 km from the center but 500 mtr. into the new town (Villeneuf or so). There is a lot of culture there, a great bakery, small supermarket, butcher, restaurants etc. By bike or bus to the center... of Avingon no problem. The site is absolutely quiet, clean and very nicely laid out. The very pregnant operator very nice and friendly. The sanitary facilities well. That was just fine. We looked at all three pitches in the immediate vicinity and this was by far the best for us.

Nice alternative to the squares in Avignon
As we didn't want to visit Avignon directly this year, we visited this place for the first time. The reception was very friendly. The pitches, which are separated by bushes, are large and offer plenty of shade. The sanitary facilities could have been built in the 50s or 60s, but they are functional and... well maintained. I prefer an old building with a functioning, clean interior to a poorly maintained new building where the showers splash everywhere but on the user... Villeneuve-lez-Avignon with its sights, stores and nice restaurants is only a few hundred meters away, to Avignon it is about 5km, which you can easily manage by bike (parking in Avignon is difficult or expensive or both).

Wifi not secure, received an invoice for an alleged subscription, but of course did not respond. See on the Internet: Dennis Weydehart
Thank goodness we didn't find the place on the Ile des Papes
We wanted to go to the 4-star campsite on the Ile and our satnav chased us through Sauveterre on the narrowest of roads with no possibility of turning around. We ended up at this campsite with a very friendly, perfectly German-speaking woman at reception. The site is in a quiet location between sports... facilities and fields. It is about 500 meters to the village. The showers are spacious, the pitches are large and offer plenty of shade, as the sun can be quite scorching even in May. You can get to Avignon quickly by bike, but the town of Villeneuve lez Avignon also has plenty to see. If you are in the area and have chosen other pitches, you should definitely take a look at this one first.

Fixed pitches separated by hedges; plenty of shade; old but clean sanitary facilities; free use of the adjacent outdoor pool with a large lawn and plenty of shade; the picturesque village of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon can be reached on foot in 5 minutes; excellent bus connection to Avignon; German-speaking reception with a somewhat odd manner (but helpful); unfortunately no W-Lan

Nice quiet place with many shady places, the public indoor and outdoor pool can be visited free of charge, manager speaks good German; we were there at the time of the festival, then you enjoyed the peace even more. The monastery complex and the town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, which is within sight, are well worth a visit. On Saturdays there is an antique market worth seeing on the way to Avignon
