There is always a place available as only transients and no repeat offenders.

Unfriendly owner High prices in the restaurant Unkempt place Feces container in the middle of the square
Unkempt square with a waste container in the middle of the square
Unfriendly owner.
The site is unkempt, weeds and building site garbage everywhere. Large containers as a parcel collection point for first-time residents and half the village. Anyone can enter the site and there are no quiet times for car traffic or barriers. Noise from cars and motorcycles all day until... late in the evening.

The sanitary building is a horror. It is cleaned once a day, then nothing is done or refilled.
There are 2 !!!! washing-up sinks for the whole site. The chemical toilets are also partially cleaned here because there has been no room for emptying and cleaning chemical toilets for months. The public order office has closed it down.
Instead, there is a faeces container with a screw cap. This is where things tend to spill and get into the groundwater, it stinks and you can tell that the owner doesn't want to spend any money.
Comment from Mr. Kurt Ulrich: If you don't like it, you can leave.
The first permanent campers have done so.

The groundsman does his best and is the only person responsible, while the owner and his son stand at the reception smoking and drinking coffee.

The restaurant is said to be good but is expensive. Changing staff, the place is buzzing.

beautiful place at the lake with a very good restaurant

I was threatened with the police by the owner when I was looking for the disposal. Without a "Good afternoon or can I help" I was told that I should have informed myself about everything in advance and that I was not allowed to drive the camper to the disposal site. I have never met such a weird owner...
nice place with extremely unfriendly owner
s.o. I recommend everyone not to have any contact with the owner. He definitely has a problem with dealing with guests.

Nice staff, store on site, motorhome parking space directly on the lake (but close together in a row), sanitary is clean, good for bike tours, price - performance good
Desventajas
Very narrow row of stands by the lake, overall somewhat unkempt impression, algae bloom in the lake
Very suitable for a short stay
Well suited for a short stay, a little more difficult with children, even if there was a children's party. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and restaurant on site (also take away). We were there as a couple for the weekend and went cycling.

Convenient location (sometimes a bit noisy)
Nice people, simple place
We tried the sleeping cabins - they are okay in terms of price/performance ratio! However, the mattresses are a disaster! You can feel the springs of the spring mattresses when you run your hand over them and the third bed was an old army bed with a foam mattress that really stank. That's really borderline!... The place around the sleeping hut could be cleaner (the grill still had meat leftovers from the previous tenant, the hedge should be cut, in one corner there was dog feces from previous tenants - all this does not have to be!) The sanitary facilities are good and the people were all friendly and nice. Unfortunately the lake was closed but it was easy to cycle to Brahmsee and swim there.

Street, order on the square
Worth it for a weekend
The site is beautifully situated, the lake is really great. The sanitary facilities are old, but well maintained and clean. Unfortunately, there are "rumble spots" everywhere on the site, which doesn't look particularly nice. There are also a lot of vans and trailers from the party service around, which doesn't look very nice. But the operator seems to be doing something, we are excited and will be back.

Quiet CP with delicious food
If you don't like daily entertainment and don't have high expectations, this is the place for you! Situated in the countryside, right by the lake and forest, but also on a busy country road. The food in the on-site restaurant is great! Otherwise you can find the infrastructure in the village 3 km away. The sanitary facilities are sufficient to adequate.

Why 4 stars? Only recommended for a stopover! Super restaurant!
I don't know what criteria are used to award the stars for a campsite, but I was surprised that this site should have 4 stars. In terms of appearance and cleanliness, I don't think it's justified. We were therefore curious to see what to expect in the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! At least... for the restaurant, it's worth spending a night at the campsite. You can also visit the campsite for a weekend to hike in the countryside or swim in the beautiful lake. But I wouldn't go there for a longer stay. We arrived in the evening at around 7pm and only wanted to stay one night and continue the next day after breakfast. Even the driveway and the first visual impression are adventurous. The campsite operator, who probably also owns the restaurant, also has a catering service. After passing the barrier, the first thing you notice are various trailers selling snacks and beer. We were greeted with northern German friendliness and were able to park on the tourist meadow, where there is also electricity. This meant we didn't have to unhitch the caravan. Unfortunately, the road from the highway to the town runs past the meadow. It was correspondingly noisy. The motorhome pitches are right by the lake. You don't hear the road noise directly and have a beautiful view. As a camper, you are also not so dependent on the sanitary facilities. These are lousy. Ancient and full of cobwebs in the corners and on the ceiling (with bare pipes). Apart from the cobwebs, the sanitary block was kept very clean! The toilets are very old and have the cistern under the ceiling, so you have to pull on a chain. The wash cubicles are also no longer up to date. They are also far too small, have no plug and you can't set the water temperature individually. You can only turn the tap on and off. Warm water comes out, which then gets warmer and warmer until you burn your hands. The showers are the only new thing in the sanitary building. The exact consumption is charged by shower card. One minute costs about 18 cents. Unfortunately, there is no bench in the shower cubicle, only a shelf at stomach height. In the sanitary building there is also a "kitchen" with a small seating area where you can wash dishes. Hotplates are available for a fee at reception. Garden tables and chairs are scattered around the campsite as seating. Basically a nice idea, if they weren't quite dirty over the years. They don't look nice and you wouldn't want to sit down there either. There is a small kiosk at the reception where you can also buy bread rolls and some camping accessories, as well as exchange gas bottles. The campsite is very much geared towards permanent campers and not so much towards tourists. But it seems to be changing, because something is obviously happening. It cannot be ruled out that things will improve. The owner is in the process of investing a lot. For example, the playground has been dismantled and is to be rebuilt elsewhere. There is now an open space in a corner where there used to be permanent campers. I can't say whether this is deliberate, as the area is to be used for other purposes, or whether the permanent campers have simply gone. A "village" of mobile homes is being built at the back of the campsite. This looks quite nice. I don't know whether these will be rental accommodation or whether they will be leased permanently. So, for a weekend or a stopover, the campsite is okay if you don't have high expectations. The restaurant is worth a visit. If you want a longer vacation, you should go somewhere else. I can only recommend the operator to renovate the sanitary building as soon as possible or even better to build a new one. In addition, the access road should be redone and the chaos (sales trailers) in the entrance area should be removed. The site looks neglected in places.

Short vacation
Very friendly reception, the access road was a medium disaster, the exit an even bigger one. A lot of things were shaken up in the caravan. The pitches did not make a well-kept impression. The chemical disposal urgently needs proper cleaning. We have visited better places.

Close to the highway. Sanitary facilities in order.
Desventajas
Noise level of the nearby street.
Too loud even for transit
On the way to Scandinavia, we stopped at the campsite recommended by the ADAC for an overnight stay. Unfortunately, it was too late and we were simply too tired to drive on, as it would have made sense, unfortunately. The reception was very friendly and the sanitary facilities were fine, there were plenty... of toilets, showers (with chip card) and individual washing cubicles. However, it was far too noisy on the tourist meadow assigned to us to be able to continue the next day with a good night's sleep. Hence this rating, unfortunately. You are on a busy road, even at night, and without earplugs you can't sleep.

Inexpensive camping on a well-kept site, good restaurant

It may be a little too campers for some people.
Camping and good food at fair prices
The site was a stopover for us with an overnight stay on the way further north, so I can't give a comprehensive assessment, e.g. with regard to a longer vacation stay. We received a friendly welcome on Whit Saturday and were allocated a very nice pitch on a camping field for short-stay campers right... by the water. The sanitary facilities were clean, adequate considering the size of the pitch and soap and toilet paper were available (which is not a matter of course). We ate very well and cheaply in the campsite restaurant with an outdoor snack bar. The fresh bread rolls on Whit Sunday and the fair overnight price convinced us to visit this campsite again in the future.

The restaurant is great. The food is very good. The waiters are very friendly and courteous. A big compliment. Electronic shower card.
Desventajas
The site lighting is sometimes dangerous. Exposed cables on the mast. Improve WLAN coverage. WC flush with pull cord. Boss friendliness
Room for improvement
I've never experienced anything like it at check-in. I was actually given a roll of toilet paper. As my wife and I were staying longer than a week, we were given 2 rolls as there was no paper in the toilets. Some of the toilets and shower cubicles were kept locked. As there was a larger group in the... tent meadow, a second cleaning of the sanitary facilities would not have hurt. There were no sockets for shavers or hairdryers in some of the wash cubicles. The tumble dryer was also broken for at least 2 weeks. In itself a nice place in a good location, but in the area sanitary house still needs some work.

The site is beautifully situated by the lake and is very easy to reach from the highway, especially if you are passing through from or to Denmark. One of the sanitary buildings has been renovated and is of a comfortable standard. However, there are also two older buildings that still need some work. We had a good meal in the restaurant on the site.

Quiet campsite for people who hate daily entertainment and don't have high expectations of what's on offer. Everyone knows everyone else here and there are evening get-togethers on the pitches, but otherwise it's rather quiet and everyone can do their own thing. There is only entertainment for the children's... party or on the activity days. Super location in the countryside, right by the lake and forest. Not far from Brahmsee, Kiel, the Baltic Sea and Plön. The surrounding area invites you to go for a walk. In Nortorf, 3km away, you can get everything thanks to good infrastructure.... from supermarket, restaurants, weekly market and doctors everything is represented there. The city of Neumünster is also not far away for zoo excursions or shopping.
