The pool, the friendliness of the staff
Desventajas
Background noise from groups of teenagers and children, restrooms, restaurant
Vacations for Children's and Youth Groups
The campground itself is okay. Two of the three restroom buildings are brand-new and meet a good standard. However, the restroom building in the area with unmarked campsites was a complete disaster—something different was broken in every toilet. The open tent area is shaded by tall coniferous trees and... located on a lawn near the pool. Cars must be parked along the road. Other camping areas are divided into designated sites, but these are heavily exposed to the sun. The open tent area is a popular destination for Portuguese families and youth groups on weekends. The noise level is correspondingly high, and the restroom facilities reach their capacity limits! The mobile homes, on the other hand, are in high demand for children’s camps and school trips. This is not exactly a quiet vacation. The pool is really great and very large, and there’s some low-key children’s entertainment. Above the pool, there’s a bar, a mini-market, and a restaurant. You should steer well clear of the latter unless it’s an absolute emergency! They serve microwave meals and frozen pizza—that’s just not acceptable! The friendliness of the staff, however, deserves special mention! However, when we left two days early, they were unable to refund the amount we’d paid in advance for two nights. It seems Orbitur hasn’t grasped the spirit of camping and flexible travel.

Good DTT signal Good WI-FI signal Good location
Desventajas
In need of some refurbishment soon throughout the park.
Good for a few days.
Good DTT signal Good WI-FI signal in general the park has good conditions, it is parked on good plots, the space for free camping is also very good, the changing rooms are not new, but they have minimum conditions, after reading some comments about this park I was afraid; I decided to try it and I was very satisfied; I recommend everyone to visit this park.

Urgent need for action in the healthcare sector
Large, terraced site with several hundred pitches (560 according to ACSI), located just outside Foz de Arelho. A high proportion of permanent campers, whose caravans and tents have now been winterized in the off-season, which gives a somewhat desolate impression. Some look as if they have not been used... all season. We stood at the south-eastern wash house. The washbasins, showers and toilets inside are outdated and in very poor condition. There is a strong smell of urine. In the men's toilet there are standing toilets or sitting toilets without glasses. The pitches have soft sand and gravel floors, with grass in places. Many large trees provide shade. Wi-Fi is free, but unfortunately it didn't work during our stay. At the beginning of October '14 we paid €15.60 for a motorhome with 2 people including electricity. However, the pool was closed.

Ventajas
Great swimming pool, very nice staff and nice and quiet.
Desventajas
Unfavorable pitch layout, outdated sanitary facilities.
Nice place, in need of renovation
The site is about 3 km from the beach at Foz do Arelho. The site is very hilly under old trees, therefore only suitable for large caravans to a limited extent (with a mover OK). The pitches are not overly large. There are some rental accommodations and also many permanent campers, but they were very... friendly. The swimming pool (approx. 25m long) has a separate baby area and is very suitable for swimming and splashing around. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols available. There is a small supermarket where you can buy fresh bread rolls every day. The snack bar serves drinks and some snacks, and you can also have breakfast there. The staff are very friendly and service-oriented. The site is guarded at night and is very quiet. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately very old and therefore look unkempt and dingy despite being cleaned several times a day. There is no toilet paper. The toilets were available in sufficient quantity but only because the pitch was only half full. Therefore, in our opinion, the place is too expensive for what it offers.

Another stay at an Orbitur park! As is typical of these parks, everything is clean, tidy and safe. The staff are kind and helpful. This park in particular has an atmosphere of quiet, peace and tranquillity. Nature is at our feet, without artificiality. I will return whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Pitch and sanitary facilities are fine. Heavily occupied by permanent guests. Hilly terrain under old trees.
