We were in Duokemp on a school trip with the ninth grade. The campsite was clean, the cabins for taller people were small, but that can be survived for a few days. The manager was very helpful. Even after checking in, we could leave all our stuff in one cabin and wait for a ride. The big problem is the... restaurant. We had ordered breakfast and dinner. The first dinner was a tomato sauce that tasted like instant soup, I won't even mention the meat. The second dinner was a bit of risotto, after which the kids had to finish their fries. The portions were not enough even for the divas who eat little. The last meal (that day after breakfast we asked about it) was supposed to be smoked meat with dumplings and cabbage (it was impossible to arrange something else in advance in 35 degree heat, despite the previous assurance that changes were possible). But we got meatloaf with dry dumplings and cabbage. A strange combination, we had never eaten it before. We were told that the lady was carrying what the chef had prepared. Another problem was the breakfast - every day 2 buns with a few rounds of salami, a piece of butter and honey or marmalade. For children with gluten-free diet they didn't have an arranged breakfast. We brought our own pastries for the children with celiac disease. To pay 47kc for breakfast and the girl got a little honey and marmalade, that really seems to me the top. The snack (had by another school group) contained a dry bun and 2 pieces of pepper (25 CZK). Not to mention the tables still spinning from breakfast in the evening. The highlight of it all was that when all the children ordered ice cream, they were thrown off the terrace with it, saying that the ice cream was for the road and that we were blocking the terrace for other guests. It was empty at the time. The restaurant, which is run by someone other than the campsite, gives the otherwise pleasant campsite a very bad name and we therefore strongly advise against this catering for other schools. A school trip where the guests are satisfied only with the accommodation cannot be realized. The food is an important part of the whole trip. We will therefore no longer recommend this place. School groups spend quite a bit of money at the camp. We think the kids deserve a good, balanced meal that they can pay for. In 30 degree heat, eating tomato sauce with dumplings and meatloaf with dumplings and cabbage doesn't really seem like a good choice. Even school trips don't leave everything to be desired.
