Clean restroom facilities, clean wash area. Friendly groundskeeper, friendly owners who are happy to help with any concerns you may have. A nice, small, well-organized campground.
Desventajas
The weather was too hot this year, but that's not the campground operators' fault. ;o) So I didn't find any downsides
Every year... and I absolutely love it
Once again, we had an absolutely wonderful time at the Wappenschmiede campground. We love how friendly everyone there is 😊—the groundskeeper… always helpful and there for everyone—as well as the campground owners. They always try to help out whenever there’s a need.
There’s no denying how clean the... restrooms are—you just feel completely at ease there
The playground has been greatly improved—our boys really enjoyed spending time there.
It’s always really hard for all of us to say goodbye… now we just have to wait until next year.
That’s why we’re giving it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very nice small campsite
We spent a weekend at this small, idyllic campsite surrounded by trees in the middle of nature. Everything was clean and well-kept. The site is laid out in terraces. Perfect for pure relaxation. The operator and the campsite staff are very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again. We can recommend this beautiful campsite 100%.

Quiet, good pub
Desventajas
Poor access, small partly spongy pitches, many stairs, not functional sanitary facilities, partly poorly cleaned
Rather parking space
Friendly reception, good pub with large portions. Poor access for larger vehicles. Pitches sloping and small, sometimes spongy after rain. More like a motorhome site than a campsite. Sanitary facilities not fit for purpose, after showering the entire washing area is under water. Many trip hazards and steps, some of the few sanitary facilities appear to be overloaded and not cleaned regularly. Overall poor price/performance ratio

Location, restaurant, showers
Desventajas
Very small pitches
Nice simple campsite
If you are looking for a small campsite without a lot of comfort, this is the place for you. The site is beautifully situated in the forest. However, the pitches are very cramped. Caravan on it, awning out. That's it. A steep, uneven staircase leads to the wash house. The showers are clean and new. We... received very friendly service in the restaurant on site and had a very good meal. The groundsman was also very friendly and helpful. You can start hiking right from the campsite. It was a nice weekend but a bit too cramped for us....

A family-run site, very friendly people, quiet, under large trees. More nature is not possible.
Desventajas
The sanitary facilities are not very close and could be a bit bigger.
A place in nature
We were there for 14 days
A quiet area. High trees provide shade in the heat
Preferably recommended when there are no long weekends or public holidays.
We felt very comfortable

Due to the sending off, it was not possible for us to recognize any advantages

Staff, place rather unkempt and small
Expulsion because of barbecue
Disrespectful behavior from the campsite operator and her helper. The operator of the small and cramped campsite expelled us from the site in an incredibly unfriendly and loud manner after we had started up a small charcoal barbecue. We were accused of lying in front of all the guests. Incidentally,... there is no indication of a barbecue ban on the campsite's homepage. Naturally, we posted this incident on the Internet so that anyone coming after us could adjust to this special type of camping. After 30 years of camping, this was a new and unpleasant experience for us.

Hello Maik,

due to the proximity to the Palatinate Forest, barbecuing with charcoal and open fires is not permitted. Your group was made aware of this at lunchtime and asked to turn off the barbecue. In the evening, however, we barbecued again and you claimed that you knew nothing about the barbecue... ban. There was little insightful discussion under the influence of alcohol. As you have to abide by the site rules and we have to ensure safety on the site and there was no understanding whatsoever, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to you for the next day.

Because there is no other CP
Desventajas
The access road and the steps to the sanitary facilities
yoooo..., goes like this
First of all: the service from the CP and the Wappenschmiede is very nice. The pitches are very small, but enjoyable, only one side has sun, the other is in permanent shade. The showers are probably new, perhaps a little impractical, almost everything got wet. I prefer not to mention the toilets here, but they are clean early in the morning. The bread roll service is great, unfortunately sometimes there are none because too few were ordered.

Access road Signage on the last few meters
Recover immediately!
Small campsite without airs and graces. We were traveling with our ERIBA for the first time and just wanted to spend the night in St. Martin. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything you need is there. Clean and modern sanitary facilities. Restaurant on site. Beautiful surroundings in the Palatinate... wine country.

Signage to the campsite on the last few meters misleading. After entering from the main road on the left, please turn right directly into Talstrasse and DO NOT drive past. The road narrows considerably and turning can be challenging.

Beautiful 3 days
We stayed at this small campsite for 3 days because we wanted to visit the wine village of St. Martin. The location is ideal, you can easily walk into the village. You are greeted very friendly by groundskeeper Helge, move into your pitch and you are on vacation right from the start. We felt very comfortable,... the sanitary facilities are also clean. The restaurant on site is highly recommended, vintner's steak and half a chicken and of course a delicious glass of wine, all very tasty and very good value. The service was also very friendly, our little Jack Russell dog Frieda always got a treat.
We will definitely be back

- Very friendly and helpful owners - the friendly groundsman organizes, supports and is almost always available - Quiet and peaceful atmosphere - bread roll service - good restaurant on site - The village is within walking distance
Desventajas
Unfortunately we can't be there more often
Gladly again and again
- follow the campsite signs, some navigation systems show a route through the village, which then becomes very narrow for the larger ones
- We have stayed there several times. We love small, peaceful campsites without frills but with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere and are already looking forward to our next visit.
Keep up the good work

Access for large camping buses probably a bit difficult
Great campsite.
Comment from a camping perspective. Smaller, honest site without frills. Everything you need is there and it's excellent. So good, in fact, that I'm writing my first review here. We only wanted to stay one night as we were passing through. But we ended up staying 4 nights. We liked it very much, also... the children (between 6 and 9) The tent meadow consists of two terraces. This is separated from the parking lot by a small ditch (2m). Since there were fewer tent guests, we were able to park right at the transition. The meadow was good, no rocky ground. There was even a bench and table. There is also a playground. The operators were very helpful and really friendly. We also got tips for the village straight away. The restaurant was also great. It specializes in hamburgers, but what a burger. I'm getting hungry again as I write this. The service was very friendly. And for the evening you can get a bottle of local wine for the place. We'll definitely be going back. It was fun.

Ideal starting point for hiking & biking, close to nature and no fixed pitches. Newly renovated sanitary facilities, wine & fresh eggs directly on site, bakery just a few minutes' walk away.
Desventajas
None. No "hotel site" with pool facilities, fitness, wellness, entertainment etc. but pure camping. Anyone looking for that will be absolutely happy here.
Beautiful, natural place in a great location
Beautiful location in the Palatinate Forest, wonderful peace and quiet and you can set off immediately for hiking or biking. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Even for a dog walk you are immediately in the countryside and can choose hiking trails and bike routes of different levels. The showers... are newly renovated and always very clean, just like the whole site is lovingly maintained. A bakery is within walking distance, the supermarket with a great selection of regional products is a short drive away. Many beautiful places nearby, the Palatinate offers an enormous amount of variety.
A place to feel completely at ease and switch off.

Location, away from the highway and in the beautiful town with the inn.
Desventajas
Located behind the village, the route with large caravans may not be easy.
More than worth a stopover
This campground is a nice distance from the netherlands for us and we come there regularly on transit to a southern destination. The inn next to the campground with biergarten and good food is definitely a plus. But the wine village of St Martin is also worth a visit.
