The operators are always available. Never a word of disapproval or excessive demands. Even after such a long time, we still feel at home. The site is ideal as a starting point for hikes and bike tours with MTB or racing bike/touring bike. The forest is just a few steps away and the run for dogs is ideal. Spacious pitches on meadowland, perfectly level. Sanitary facilities very well maintained and clean.Traducido automáticamente.1 campista encontró útil esta valoración.

Uschi S.agosto 20214.0Uschi S.agosto 2021VentajasVery clean sanitary facilities Personal contact with the operator family Good W-Lan Hiking trails directly from the site Bread roll service and small storeDesventajasLocated directly on a roadNatural campsite with very clean sanitary facilitiesI have really never experienced such clean sanitary facilities. No hair from the previous guest in the sink or shower, no leftover food in the sink...great.
The buildings and sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but well maintained.
Personal and friendly contact with the owner family. We were accompanied... to the pitch.
Good Wi-Fi throughout the site.
Hiking trails directly from the site, with hiking recommendations.
Bread roll service and small store also available.
Small disadvantage, located directly on a road. However, it was not very busy.
The place itself does not offer a restaurant, a restaurant is within walking distance.Traducido automáticamente.1 campista encontró útil esta valoración. - 5.0AKArmin K.octubre 20205.0AKArmin K.octubre 2020VentajasTip-top clean, very nice operators, Fort Fun special, bread roll serviceDesventajasWe have found nothing! Our camping premiere - it was great! We've owned our caravan for three weeks now and chose Valmetal campsite for our camping premiere. We didn't want a fancy glamping 5* site, but rather peace, nature and a well-kept site where we could gain our first experience.
And that's exactly what you get with Olaf and Katja! We received a very friendly... welcome and were shown to our pitch. Olaf even showed us how to maneuver and connected us directly to the electricity. There is no fresh water or waste water at the pitch, so don't forget your jerry can and waste water cab ;-)
The site is right next to the forest, so you can go for long walks with or without your dog. Dogs are welcome on the site! Mountain bike enthusiasts are also well catered for.
The site is located directly on a country road. In the fall it was quiet, especially on Sundays, but during the week there are some trucks or tractors on the road - but everything is still very bearable and not disturbing.
The sanitary facilities are exemplary clean and available in sufficient numbers despite the Corona measures. It was a bit chilly in the morning and the motion detector in the shower turned the light off a bit too early for my taste, but that's complaining on a high level.
You have to order the bread rolls the day before. They come from the bakery in the neighboring village and are delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, you can only pick them up from the kiosk from 8.30 a.m. - that was a bit late for us, as we are the ones who wake up the "early bird" in the morning ;-)
We took advantage of the Fort Fun special as we had a 13-year-old teenager in tow. The theme park is only about 8 km away. You save about 1/3 on the ticket price and don't have to queue at the ticket office, but can go straight through to the entrance.
Internet access via Wi-Fi is available, but relatively slow, especially in the evening. Mobile internet via LTE (Telekom) works without any problems.
Conclusion: we were very satisfied and will definitely be back!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - 4.0

Carsten M.mayo 20175.0Carsten M.mayo 2017VentajasCleanliness, friendliness, reasonable prices, W-Lan (for the older children and younger adults)Desventajasa little more space for tourist pitches in terms of number and sizeQuiet, clean place with top price-performance ratio. The campsite was chosen for a long weekend with three children and two adults because of its proximity to the "Fort-Fun" amusement park. The reviews were also decisive. The expectations were absolutely fulfilled: A quiet location in a typical Sauerland valley with access to a stream. The road in the... immediate vicinity of the site was audible but not unpleasant. Although there are not that many pitches, these were at the limit for a larger caravan, whereby the caravan orientation is partly predetermined. The overall cleanliness was very good, the standard sanitary facilities were always clean despite high occupancy. There was also a playground, which is ok for younger children, but for the older children there was free Wi-Fi with sufficient speed and a very good signal on the tourist pitches. If you expect a lot of hustle and bustle on a campsite, you will be disappointed here, but the place can be the starting point for other activities (visitor mine, swimming pools, etc.). The site is certainly ideal for hiking and mountain biking, especially for those who like the Sauerland. The friendliness of the operators should certainly be emphasized, as well as that of the permanent campers in the vicinity of the tourist pitches. There are discounts for visiting the leisure park. Many thanks for the wonderful days!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - 5.0MDMiriam D.mayo 20175.0MDMiriam D.mayo 2017VentajasSuper location Child-friendly Great for motorcyclistsCamping ValmetalThe campsite is great for families with children of all ages. - 5.0ADAnika D.mayo 20175.0ADAnika D.mayo 2017Ventajas- super friendly - quiet - beautiful surroundings - free WLAN, no rental fees for materials - bread roll serviceDesventajas- Small detail: shower tokens cannot be added in the cabin and you cannot see how many minutes are still availableEverything top! Super friendly operators, beautiful surroundingsWe stayed at this campsite as a couple (both in their late 20s) for a short vacation. The operators were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The surroundings are super beautiful and there's lots to discover. The price-performance ratio here is really great. The majority of the site is for permanent... campers and the average age felt more like 50 than 30, but we felt completely at ease. The hike to the waterfall was very nice (you have to leave the path briefly to see the waterfall properly, but then you can stand directly underneath it). We would love to come back again...not least because of the friendly service.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!

Harm M.mayo 20164.0Harm M.mayo 2016VentajasPeace and quiet Location Hiking possibilities Clean sanitary facilities Friendly operatorsDesventajasCertainly too few paramedics at full occupancyAll-round relaxing vacationWe were here at Whitsun and were pleasantly surprised. The site is located in a quiet side valley away from busy roads. At first you are a little scared by the many permanent campers, but you are soon pleasantly surprised by their friendliness and relaxed attitude. The site managers are also very nice,... friendly and helpful. In the morning there are delicious bread rolls from the local bakery. You can set off on hikes directly from the campsite or relax with a view of the mountains. The sanitary facilities are a little older, but in top condition, with a sufficient number of shelves and hooks and were always cleaned very well. If there was any reason for complaint, it was due to the behavior of the other campers, who, as we have often experienced, behaved accordingly. Overall, the site can be recommended, even if it is not a high-class site with top facilities. Overall, the price/performance ratio is good and you can have a great rest.
