- 4.0TBThomas B.mayo 20254.0TBThomas B.mayo 2025VentajasDespite the direct proximity to Mainz and Wiesbaden (to which the site also belongs), it is a fairly natural, not too large site (many tall trees) with very clean but somewhat dated sanitary facilities.DesventajasThe pitches are a little small and the Wiesbaden visitor's tax of 5 euros/person/night is outrageous, especially because a good proportion of visitors will be heading for Mainz. Due to the proximity to the airport FFM aircraft noise, with which we could live well.Very good for a town squareOverall, a very nice place with optimal connections to Mainz city center (we did not test Wiesbaden) Tip: There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the CP on the Maaraue, which are free for caravans. We used this to drive from the site in the morning, park the caravan and then explore Mainz from there by bike.Traducido automáticamente.2 campistas encontraron útil esta valoración.

Helmut H.mayo 20244.0Helmut H.mayo 2024Ventajasgreat location friendly operatorsDesventajasthe place could be a little better maintainedbeautiful and quiet place directly on the RhineThe site is beautifully situated in the countryside, directly on the Rhine with a lovely view of Mainz. We received a very friendly welcome and were allowed to choose a pitch. The sanitary facilities are older, but have been renovated a bit. The space in the shower is still fine. Ideal for exploring... Wiesbaden and Mainz. There are delicious bread rolls to order in advance and a small store with the essentials. The pitch could be a bit better maintained, the grass was very long, for example. But we would go there again.Traducido automáticamente.3 campistas encontraron útil esta valoración. - 3.0JEJoachim E.agosto 20233.0JEJoachim E.agosto 2023VentajasWonderful location directly on the banks of the Rhine and very friendly staffDesventajasThe municipality as landlord takes very little care of the pitch. The ladies' shower for the disabled is defective and not in use. Although the operator has complained about this several times, nothing happens.Nice place with small flawsThe tenants are very active and try to make the best of it. Could become a 1A place, but you have to get involved from the community side. you can't make a tourist tax and just collect money!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!

- 4.0VFVerena F.abril 20234.0VFVerena F.abril 2023Ventajas- green oasis - ideally located to explore Mainz on foot - very tasty vegetarian tarte flambée in the bistro on the square - Playgrounds nearby - You can arrive from 12 noonDesventajas-Small, very green place, ideal for exploring MainzSmall, cozy, very green square, nice people, very tasty vegetarian tarte flambée in the bistro on the square. It takes about half an hour to walk to the city center of Mainz, a city that is really worth seeing. The sanitary facilities don't look very modern, but they are clean. You can hear the airplanes that want to land in Frankfurt, but I didn't find it annoying. I didn't hear any airplanes from 10/22:30 pm - 5:00 am. Gladly again anytime. :-)Traducido automáticamente.1 campista encontró útil esta valoración.
- 4.0SSStefan S.abril 20234.0SSStefan S.abril 2023Ventajas- Small place - Very nice operators and staff - central location for Wiesbaden and MainzDesventajasNone, everything as expectedWe will be backAfter our Womo decided not to let us in (key inside, of course), we were given a drink in addition to the moral support from the operators while we waited for the ADAC.
We felt very welcome there.
Ideal location for exploring Wiesbaden and Mainz.
And please remain objective, the operators can't do anything about Frankfurt Airport - and it didn't bother us now.
We will be back again,
Greetings

Walking distance to the cathedral in Mainz approx. 30 min.
Sufficient dog run available in the area.
Staff very friendly - perfect. The place is mostly under tall old trees - thus problems with reception with the satellite... system possible. Sunshine at the end of September also partly due to this.
Flight path of Frankfurt airport - but you get used to it.
Disadvantage, actually only the somewhat complicated access through Kostheim.Traducido automáticamente.1 campista encontró útil esta valoración. - 5.0ANAndresas N.agosto 20215.0ANAndresas N.agosto 2021VentajasBest location directly on the Rhine Very nice operator couple Anja and Eppo, always helpful and always a nice conversation Very moderate prices for drinks and breakfast Covered places to sitDesventajasactually nothingSuper nice operators, great location, just feel good and nice short vacationWe had the pleasure of staying here for a few days and exploring the city of Mainz and the surrounding area. - 5.0RMRenate M.junio 20195.0RMRenate M.junio 2019DesventajasNoneVery relaxing daysOur stay was very relaxing. Nice owners and nice staff. Unfortunately, you always have to be ashamed of public sanitary facilities, as some visitors ruin the image of cleanliness and leave the toilets that the image is given to the campsite, which in this case the people themselves create. There are... toilet brushes where you should leave your waste as you would at home. If this does not happen at home it is very pathetic. I would ask everyone to leave their place as they found it, it would be a friendly gesture for every visitor. Will visit the site again as I do not put this experience down to the owners. See you soon maaraue campsite and the nice team. Best regards R. Mayer and M Mayer.Traducido automáticamente.1 campista encontró útil esta valoración.
- 5.0USuu s.mayo 20195.0USuu s.mayo 2019Ventajasshady place with great location to Mainz, leisure activities in the surrounding areaDesventajassomewhat noisy, as close to the city and many tourists/excursionistsshady spot in a great location on the Rhine near Mainzwe have been spending the christian ascension weekend at camping maaraue for many years. we like the large shady meadow very much, the many leisure activities in the surrounding area and of course the walking distance to the old town of mainz. we have never had anything to complain about the sanitary... facilities. it's not a very quiet place to relax, but that's not to be expected for a place close to the city with lots of leisure activities that many people from the surrounding area use (cyclists, hikers, canoe club ...) the small beer garden in front of the reception is a nice place to watch the goings-on along the rhine and on the water. we will certainly come back in 2020 and enjoy the place.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- 2.0EDErich D.abril 20192.0EDErich D.abril 2019VentajasProximity to MainzDesventajasGarbage fee too highDisappointing placeDespite timely registration, we (2 Womo 4 pers., 1 dog) were assigned a place on the tent meadow. Electricity was laid by cable drum. Loud due to aircraft and train noise. The CP seems very unorganized. Garbage fee of 1.50 € / day definitely too high, I would only drive to this place if there is really nothing else. The only plus is the proximity to Mainz.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- 3.0PMPaul M.septiembre 20183.0PMPaul M.septiembre 2018Ventajas20 minutes walk to Mainz old town friendly receptionDesventajasUnderground sanitary facilitiesMainz, wasn't that!Arrived without a reservation and read the reviews here beforehand. We immediately got a nice and friendly parking space right on the Rhine. Ordered bread rolls and then off to Mainz (20 min walk). In the evening we sat outside and looked out over Mainz. In the morning I took the dog for a nice walk... along the Rhine where the right bags were hanging. I got some bread rolls and had breakfast, only then I realized that the place was full of cigarette butts and bottle caps. It would have been nice to rake the empty pitch before it was reallocated, but on the way to the wellness oasis you see a handful of festival campers, as always. The toilets are old, which I don't mind. There is disinfectant hanging there. The windows as well as the partition walls, cobwebs everywhere. The showers, well, what can I say, I didn't want to touch anything and the shower next to me had just been treated with some kind of mold remover or something, which smelled very strong. The sanitary facilities are old but not bad in terms of the building, but something urgently needs to happen. The campsite is in the right place to visit Mainz, Punt. I have been a camper for many years and if someone greets me in a relaxed manner I think that's ok, but if I feel disgusted in the sanitary facilities, then that's not possible. It's a shame because it would have been so nice on the Rhine!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!

- 3.0ESElke S.septiembre 20183.0ESElke S.septiembre 2018VentajasClose to the city (25 minutes walk over the bridge and you're in Mainz) Very quiet when we were there (now in September)DesventajasWe think the garbage fee of 1.50 € per day is a bit high!Beautiful campsite close to the cityThe sanitary buildings are in quite good condition. We (50+) found them ok! Obviously a lot has been done there recently. Of course, there was some toilet paper on the floor when the toilets were heavily used in the mornings and evenings (but that's not the campsite operator's fault!). The toilets are... cleaned once a day. We were there in September and it was very quiet (after the summer vacation!). The pitches (WoWa) are big enough and you have a wonderful view of the Rhine and the beautiful backdrop of Mainz. At sunset the view is really fantastic! Yes, there is a bit of aircraft noise during the day, but it didn't bother us, especially as we were in the city during the day. You can also hear a few trains, but we didn't find that bad. It was more important to us that we could park the car and walk into town. We didn't notice any rudeness on the part of the staff. We felt very comfortable there!Traducido automáticamente.1 campista encontró útil esta valoración.

Arne-Kolja B.agosto 20183.0Arne-Kolja B.agosto 2018VentajasSuitable for cyclistsDesventajasUncomfortableVery good for passing through with a tentLike so many others, we were cycling along the Rhine and the campsite was perfect for this. It was very spontaneously free and the meadow also looked like it was occupied by many cyclists. The sanitary facilities are okay (not anymore), but uncomfortable due to their design - just like the whole site.... Unfortunately, we can't say much more as travelers passing through, but it seemed to me that - also due to the size of the campsite - the campsite is really only intended for such people. And it was perfectly suited for this and also inexpensive. At least with a bike and a small two-man tent.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - 3.0
Alexander W.agosto 20183.0Alexander W.agosto 2018VentajasProximity to MainzDesventajasNoise from the railroad and the Rhine bridge.Everything is a bit outdated...The complex as a whole looks a bit desolate. The sanitary facilities are quite old but in good order and clean. They are cleaned once a day. The pitches are large enough but not separated from each other. There are shady and sunny spots. The site itself is quiet, but you can hear the car traffic from the Rhine bridge and the trains from the nearby railroad line. The proximity to the city center is great! The groundsman is nice and friendly.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
