Very nice, large campsite. Beautiful pitches. Close to the Baltic Sea, restaurants etc. within easy walking distance.
Desventajas
You can't make a reservation, seats are allocated even though there were still enough free seats. Poor or no wifi, poor cell phone reception, regardless of the network.
Quiet island of Poel
Stayed at the campsite for 4 days.
Wanted to make a reservation, but was told that we don't do that, it's first come first served.
With a journey of approx. 500 km, it is not certain whether I will get a pitch at all.
When we got there, I first looked for a pitch, as 2 couples who were friends were already... there. I also found a pitch near them, but it was refused by the marshal and we were given a pitch far away from our friends, on a large meadow in the E6 area. There was enough space, but it was nothing special due to the constant stream of people arriving.
It was okay for a short stay, but this pitch would not be for us for a longer period.
The proximity to the harbor, beach and restaurants is very nice. It's also fun to cycle around the island.
The toilets are clean and if you're not an hourly showerer, one euro is enough for a shower, although the shower machines have actually fallen out of date. All in all, a nice stay.

Close to the beach, price ok
Desventajas
Sanitary facilities very cramped, strong odor nuisance from the waste compactors. Pitches are sometimes completely under water when it rains.
We once saw the island of Poel
Once was enough for us. The sanitary facilities are very cramped and outdated. You always have to have enough euros to shower. Strong odor nuisance due to the garbage presses, thus also many flies. The pitches are very uneven, which meant that the pitches were regularly under water when it rained.

Beautiful tent meadow. Close to the beach. Restaurants, snack bar, ice cream, harbor very close by. Quiet
Desventajas
The permanent sanitary buildings are relatively far away from the tent meadow.
Beautiful tent meadow & nice close to the beach and gastronomy
Super campsite, very nice meadow. Sanitary area clean and in order. The beach is very close (a few minutes' walk). There are wooden tables with benches on the tent meadow. Short walk to the harbor (restaurants, snack bar, ice cream). I really liked this spot on earth. The kiosk has sandwiches and eggs for breakfast, which I found handy.

Unfriendly Disrespectful
Unfriendly
It is shameful how Mrs. Junghans treats the guests of the beautiful island of Poel. I have never experienced such arrogant, unfriendly and disrespectful behavior. She is doing lasting damage to tourism in MV and the town of Timmendorf!
I strongly recommend looking for alternatives in the area!

Many as permanent campers.
Permanent camper
Since the change of tenant Piersdorf to daughter Junghans, only terror against long-established permanent campers. They are looking for reasons to terminate the lease in order to rent out the land at a higher price. Duty of supervision regarding rest periods is not observed (lunch break and after 10 p.m.). If the permanent campers take the initiative to comply, they are accused of insults etc. and used as grounds for termination.

I felt at home here
Stayed here with my bike for just one night. From the reception to the camping field, the sanitary facilities, the extra gate to the village and the beach, I found it very pleasant here.

The location incl. proximity to the beach
Desventajas

Everything you need and a great location
The site is located at the western end of Poel and has direct access to the beach promenade - that alone makes it a destination for many beach vacationers. Add to that the proximity to Wismar and a few cycle paths across the island, and you almost don't need more.

On arrival, you are accompanied by... a member of staff on a bike to the free pitches and can then choose something suitable. The sanitary facilities were fine (even if I'm not a fan of the €1 vending machines), there is a small store with the essentials including bread rolls with and without pre-ordering and in the entrance area a fish stall alternates with other hawkers - very nice. There are plenty of connections for electricity and water and - please note - there is NO WiFi. That didn't bother us at all, but it's probably part of a contemporary rating.

Only the surrounding restaurants and cafés are, despite their nice-sounding menus, unfortunately all at snack bar level and not very reasonably priced. The site can't do anything about that, but when you're so far away from everything, it's probably worth mentioning.

Pitches partly at the building depot, no tasty bread rolls, cheapest toilet paper
Good place in a beautiful location
All in all, you can stay here for a good week. Some of the pitches are in the immediate vicinity of the service yard and are, simply put, standard.

Fantastic location!!!
Desventajas
Mosquitoes from the closed toilets
Found by chance
We found this campsite when we "escaped" from another one and immediately felt at home. A year later we were there a second time and will definitely be back again at some point. The price-performance ratio is right, the kilometer-long beach right next to the campsite is fantastic. We even managed to... get a pitch under the trees. There are play areas for the children, kites and SUPs to hire, ... The small store next to the reception has a few things for daily needs, overpriced of course, but before you drive to the next town, well...

Proximity to the beach is excellent! Sanitary facilities exemplary. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Desventajas
One waste disposal station is not enough, especially for vacationers with longer stays. What to do with gray water?
Three weeks in a motorhome.
We were here for the 2nd time. The island is particularly suitable for cyclists. Shopping facilities in Kirchdorf. There is a bakery and restaurants right next to the campsite. The campsite supermarket is useless. If you like dogs this is the right place!!! There is no site supervision. Dogs running free and loud parties are not uncommon. Otherwise everything is fine.

We booked at short notice by phone and spent a wonderful 8 nights there. Wonderful location near the beach, 350 m to the dog beach. Clean sanitary facilities, great Italian restaurant in the immediate vicinity and the tastiest fish sandwiches at the harbor.

I can't think of anything.
Emergency nail !
Had the opportunity to spend another 14 days at the Baltic Sea. All campsites fully booked. "Leuchtturm" was able to offer a place because of a cancellation. We were very positively surprised. Staff super friendly and always ready to help. Whether reception or the staff on the campsite. If you are looking for halligalli and dancing with open pants is wrong here! If you are looking for relaxation, this is the right place!

Are you looking for unfriendliness, narrow-mindedness and a service desert? All to be found at this location! You'd think everyone would be happy to get going again... far from it. People at reception, you can only shake your head. 😡

No supermarket nearby. Unfortunately, the campsite is only open from 8-10 am.

That was ok. There's not much there. Campsite itself is getting on in years. Sanitary facilities satisfactory though. Ok for the weekend.

The beach is really great. Spacious, clean, sandy. The sanitary buildings were always clean, with the masses (place completely booked out / overcrowded from my point of view) a big compliment to the cleaning staff.
Desventajas
Pitch was overcrowded, distances between caravans and motorhomes clearly too narrow.
Place goes so so, sanitary good, beach top
Reception staff neither friendly nor unfriendly. Rather unemotional / neutral.
It was not possible for us to choose a pitch.
The pitches were too small or the operator allowed too many guests onto the pitch. As a result, the distance to the neighbor max. 3m.
Due to the small distance, staying on the... pitch was not much fun. Due to Corona, the direction of the pitch was predetermined, so you looked at the white wall of the neighbor's caravan and only saw it when emptying the toilet cassette.
And if you're a caravan owner and you're placed between almost exclusively mobile homes, then the constant loud opening and closing of the sliding doors gets on your nerves by 7:00 a.m. at the latest.
The way to the sanitary building was short for us. Some who had a longer way to go rode their bikes and blocked the way to the sanitary buildings with their bikes / showed little consideration.
A big compliment to the cleaning staff: keeping the sanitary facilities clean with these crowds is remarkable.
The beach was great. It's not far to get there.
There's not much else going on, if you need action you're in the wrong place.

Sufficiently large pitches, relatively short distances to the beach, including dog beach, and nearby Timmendorf harbor thanks to several gates, clean sanitary facilities, small store for the necessary daily needs.
Desventajas
Timmendorf itself is a dead nest compared to Kirchdorf.
Nice CP close to the beach
Nice campsite near the beach with sufficiently large pitches, only a little expensive for the island, near the reception there is a small store (with the daily necessities) and the sanitary building. In front of this is the disposal station for camper vans, which is a little awkward to get to. Various... gates in the fence at the back provide quick access to the beach/dog beach, but the Baltic Sea is very shallow until far out, so swimming is only possible far from the shore. But ideal for families with children. If you walk towards the harbor, you stroll past various restaurants. Timmendorf itself doesn't have much to offer, but there are boats to Wismar from nearby Kirchdorf, which is well worth a trip. Motorhome owners can also drive to the separately located motorhome parking area; arrive early to secure a space.

Location directly on the beautiful beach
Desventajas
Huge site, camping close together in the high season, noisy, getting on in years.
Monopole campsite on Poel.
I did not experience the unfriendliness that is often described. But I didn't have to deal with THAT lady either, but with another person at check-in.
There are always two sides to the coin.
But about the place:
Loveless dreariness, large pitches, hardly a tree, everything parked close together.
No supermarket... in the immediate vicinity, only in the next village. The kiosk on site is also useless. (When I asked why you can't buy chilled beer there, I was looked at as if the question was completely absurd and ridiculous.
If you love camping hell, this is the place for you!

Direct location on the beach
Nice place right on the beach
After check-in, the ushers ride ahead on their bikes and show you the pitch. Guests receive a key with which they can open the doors to the beach or the lighthouse (restaurants). Also important for motorhome drivers: the bus stop is within walking distance; "satisfactory" sanitary facilities; small store with bread roll service.
