Only the location is nice...
A place in a beautiful location, where clearly only cash is being collected. The main building looks a bit shabby, the sanitary facilities are supposedly cleaned daily, but there are clear traces of mold in the area of the shelves under the mirrors and the mirrors have not been cleaned for a long time.... There are also cobwebs (along with dead spiders) and dead insects in the radiator above the mirrors, also not just from last week. There is also a lack of toilet paper, at "prime time" in the morning only 1 toilet with paper. The grass grows very tall in places (even in the "tent area"), the wooden picnic tables and benches are rotting. Also strange: one night only by cash payment. What's the point? It occurs to me that money is bypassing the tax office here... For me, the price/performance doesn't fit at all and the person at reception (possibly the owner?) is anything but likeable, but rounds off the overall picture.

Pitches especially the direct view of the Rhine. Fair price-performance ratio. Good bread rolls. Nice Dutch operators
Desventajas
Showers a bit outdated. Quite a bit of water vapor at high occupancy
Very nice location directly on the Rhine and full price performance o.k.
Very nice direct Rhine location. Nice operator. There is a simple but good restaurant on the terrace from 5 pm. Showers are a bit simple but function is ok. Hardly any major noise pollution although the railroad and road are adjacent.

the few showers, the high traffic noise
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you
Well, there is the road with through traffic, very noisy, there is the train that runs almost continuously, so there was no peace and quiet. There is a campsite and camper van site and there are two showers for everyone. You can imagine that these are not enough. In addition, the showers in the lower... area are open, so that you are always standing in your neighbor's shower water, because with the two showers it is not possible to shower if there is no one in the second shower. We cannot recommend a stay there.

The location is ok, averagely clean. You are quickly in Bacherach with many restaurants.
Desventajas
very loud
Nice place
As many previous reviews have already written, it is very loud. You soon get used to the train, but there are roaring motorcycles all night long, so you can't think about a good night's sleep. There are certainly better locations, but it was ok for us for a few nights. Otherwise, it's nice to stroll... around and stop for a bite to eat. The location is great for excursions. The sanitary facilities were clean. The bread rolls on site were very tasty. The operator was very nice.

Super place. Price. Coziness.

Used as a stopover with a camper van
Super friendly welcome from the CP operators. Level pitch and no problems for our Womo. Sanitary ok and very clean. Bread roll service, small store and good food in the restaurant. All in all, a successful end to our short trip. The price on the campsite was incredibly cheap (€20.50 Womo, 2 pers. 1 dog including electricity). No, we were not in the Womo harbor but on the pitch. Thanks again to the operators.

Location is good, staff nice,
Desventajas
The wifi is rather from the stone age, background noise is loud
Nice place, bad wifi
The site is beautiful and the operator is friendly. Unfortunately, the paths are a little deeper than some of the pitches, which leads to the trailer coupling coming off the ground with a slightly larger camper van. The location is very nice and so is Bacharach. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi infrastructure... is rather poor. For 3 days we paid 6€ for 2 devices and after the first day we already had problems logging in again. This is simply unacceptable for 2017! The background noise is correspondingly loud according to the two railroad lines, even at night (but this is not unusual on the Rhine and Moselle. You should know when you go there). The sanitary facilities are ok, but the time spent showering is short. There is a bread roll service and a restaurant. I didn't see any disposal for service water, but I did see one for chemical toilets.

For transit, nothing more
If you like peace and quiet, you should avoid this place. The motorcycles driving down the Rhine make a hell of a racket. Likewise, the trains that pass by every 5 minutes do not allow for relaxation. The sanitary facilities are relatively clean, but basic and far too few for so many campers. And if... you're not lucky enough to have a pitch with a view of the Rhine, you don't get any of the beautiful view, just a view of the other caravans. So we've definitely had enough. The other campsites in this valley are probably similar, so in future we will give this world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley a wide berth.

Fantastic location of the course

actually no serious...
Very nice location
The site has a very beautiful location in the Rhine valley. The pitches are right on the riverbank. With the very good occupancy of the site, the sanitary facilities are at the limit, but still always clean. Not all washbasins had hot water! Very good starting point for walks (Bacharach) and cycle tours on the Rhine cycle path. Noise pollution from road, rail and ships within tolerable limits.

Quiet, relaxing
Desventajas
Shower tokens, three minutes of shower time is far too little
Relaxing & quiet, but quick when showering!
Not a bad campsite but not the world either. You have a whopping three minutes "time" to shower and can't waste a second. Otherwise, everything is quiet here and you can have a good rest.

I can't think of anything
Really great
Great campsite. Very friendly and very clean. With two children (4 and 2) we are the only family with small children but everyone is really very nice and the sanitary facilities are very well maintained and clean! The heating could still be on, with children the showers are still too cold. But that's really my only criticism.

Bacharach, the most beautiful place on the Rhine
Camping and place for our camper super, directly on the Rhine near the special town of Bacharach. Sanitary facilities in order and the nearby restaurant with a view over the Rhine was fine. Helpful and hospitable reception at the reception. We will definitely come back here.

Very nice location directly on the Rhine.
Neat place in a beautiful location
The site is located directly on the Rhine. If you want this beautiful location, you have to accept the railroad noise on both sides of the Rhine. Here in Bacharach they are much less bad than in St. Goar. I can't complain about the size of the pitches either. Tourists with caravans or mobile homes get... pitches directly on the Rhine and stand alongside it. This provides a relatively spacious pitch. However, the campsite is quite small and therefore quickly filled. There is another motorhome pitch in front of it, narrow and without electricity. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. The on-site restaurant only opens at 5 pm. But there are plenty of alternatives in pretty Bacharach (just a few minutes' walk away). Bread roll service available. Nice and helpful Dutch site management. The price is quite reasonable at €19.50 (2 people incl. electricity).

As already mentioned in previous posts - the train traffic is perceived as very disturbing, especially as a train thunders past almost every minute to the left and right of the Rhine. Road traffic noise is also clearly audible. Even the panorama over the Rhine and the view of Stahleck Castle are only of limited comfort. Bacharach itself is just a few minutes' walk away and, with its wine houses, is definitely worth a visit.
