Ameland at Camping Roosdunen was very nice!!!
We stayed at Roosdunen for three weeks with 2 children (9 and 11). It was very nice. There is an area for tents, caravans and motorhomes near the wash house. A large part of the site is occupied by mobile homes. There is a nice playground, a mini golf course, a trampoline area, a football pitch and the... lovely outdoor swimming pool (free for campers). This was a highlight for our children with its slide and diving board. The beach can be reached by bike in about 8 minutes. It's a great path through the dunes to the beach. The beach is very wide. There is an area between flags for supervised swimming. There is animation on the site in Dutch. Showers and washing up have to be paid for with coins. We had a great vacation and would highly recommend the campsite and Ameland, and the staff were always very friendly.
