Ventajas
great location with direct access to the beautiful beach
Desventajas
Absolutely unkempt, dirty and run-down sanitary facilities, kiosk not open, contact person rarely on site, misleading homepage
Terrible
We fled after one night as the whole place seemed run down. The sanitary facilities were smeared with faeces and in a desolate state. The "receptionist" was not always on site, the kiosk was not open in high season. You could have ordered baguettes, delivery the next day between eight and eleven o'clock.... Some of the photos on the homepage are from other facilities of the same operator in the vicinity.
The only advantage is the location directly behind the dunes on the beautiful beach. You can't get any closer to the Mediterranean.

Ventajas
Great beach
Desventajas
Probably no more pitches for caravans, tents or motorhomes
Space in new hands and a new concept
This was our absolute favorite place for many years. Small and personal with no frills. Unfortunately, the tenant had to quit and the site was sold to a large chain. They rebuilt it last year (2023) and put up a lot of new mobile homes. As far as I know, there are now no more pitches for caravans and tents! A great pity...

Ventajas
Small, very familiar place, very clean.
Desventajas
None
Great, relaxed vacation
The site has a few pitches. Is owner-managed. Very well maintained, if something is wrong you will be helped. You can rent things (stove, fridge,...) Sanitary is ok and quite clean. The path to the beach is very short and easy to reach in summer via a wooden path.
The small playground is for the very... youngest children, after that rather uninteresting. The beach is great. There is a small restaurant where you can enjoy small delicacies in the evening.

We would love to come back!

Ventajas
Clean, small, quiet site. Free WiFi at the reception area.
Desventajas
No hustle and bustle. No noise.
Small, peaceful place right by the sea.
Admittedly, I love this small, owner-run place. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays they serve tarte flambée and pizza, homemade by the chef. Otherwise, except Thursday afternoons, panini and snacks. > Sandwiches, French fries, etc. This is my 4th time here. Rented a mobile number, clean and worth the price. With motorcycle and tent on transit. And now the 2nd time with a motorhome. In the high season there is a "bathing watch" from 11am to 7pm.

Ventajas
Peace, location right by the sea and the beautiful sanitary facilities
Dream vacation
We had a wonderful vacation in a beautiful location right on the white, mile-long sandy beach. We were able to do so many different things. Canoeing, swimming, snorkeling, rafting, hiking. The campsite was wonderfully small and quiet. The pitches are large enough and mostly fenced off. The sanitary facilities... were spacious, modern and clean. The hosts were incredibly nice and there was delicious tarte flambée on some evenings, which is highly recommended. Thanks to Sandra and Pascal for the super nice stay with you. We will be back!

Ventajas
Very clean throughout the site, in the sanitary facilities and in the mobile home. Very nice contact with the operators. Direct access to the beach.
Desventajas
All-day music from the sanitary facilities. Mobile homes sometimes very close together. Beds/mattresses catastrophic.
Very nice campsite
Small, family campsite. Stayed in a mobile home with 3 children. Very warm welcome with a small snack in the evening. Any concerns were dealt with immediately. Nice campsite operators.

We stumbled on Camping Le Paradou by accident. It wasn't listed in our TomTom Satnav and only has a postcode on this website. The actual address is: 2 Impasse Ronsard Marseillan Plage 34340 Marseillan. This is a gorgeous little campsite, right on the beach. We arrived in off-season (late September) but... it was one of the few camping grounds still open in the area. There are a good number of leisure activities close by however they were mostly closed during our trip. This site is absolute beach front. There was nothing between our tent and the sea, aside from small sand dunes. The facilities are adequate and very clean. The office was closed from 10:00 until 19:00. This was most likely because of off-season. Price was fantastic at only €13 for 2 people, tent and a car.
