Everything was perfect

The welcome was warm and friendly. The campground was neatly maintained, and we could choose our own spot. The restrooms were in good condition, and the hygiene was excellent. Cozy restaurant. All in all, a pleasant stay. Great.

The possibilities offered by the area

We had a wonderful week with our children and grandchildren, ranging in age from 4 to 73.

A good activity program for the kids—right now, they're running around the campground in large numbers and coming up with their own activities. This isn't pleasant for every camper.

It's a shame there's no supervision in the evening. Late into the evening, from 10:00 to 10:30 p.m., children are running around the campground, screaming and shouting. Supervision of these children would help ensure things are quiet at a reasonable hour, especially for people with younger children. The campground manager didn’t even get up in response to this comment.

This was our third time at Bella Austria. A really nice, small campground. Beautiful surroundings, and plenty for the kids to do at the campground, too.

Maybe a better setup by the pool. During our stay, someone pooped in the pool several times, which is obviously really gross, and there’s nothing the campground can do about that. But then, instead of reopening at 10 a.m., the pool didn’t open again until 2 p.m. That was a real shame, especially with the hot weather.

A beautiful place with friendly people! The kids had a great time, and so did we!

The restrooms were cleaned very poorly. The same panty liner lay in the shower for five days—it hadn’t been removed again—and the trash cans were so overflowing that a trail of maggots ran past the restroom building every day. This was cleaned up properly every day, but it was still pretty gross.

A great playground for the kids

A 4-star campground? I don’t see it. Broken bathroom lights, streetlights that don’t work, no security on the campground. It was advertised that the pool would be heated, but that’s not the case. It’s very cold. Also, it would have been nice if the 10:00 p.m. quiet hour rule had been enforced. It was very noisy, often even as late as 11:00 p.m. Lots of rowdy teenagers. Finally, during a power outage, no one could be reached at the “emergency number.” Unacceptable.

The people at the front desk aren't very helpful—they're friendly, but just enough so they aren't considered unfriendly. A nice campground for small children. It's a campground that's a bit more suited to alternative types.

If people have to leave early due to circumstances, a little leniency would be appreciated. The shower and restroom buildings look a bit gloomy. There’s not much to do in the immediate vicinity. Murau is the first larger town, but it’s also very quiet. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, beautiful cities, and mountain hikes where you take a gondola into a scenic area, then you should definitely NOT go here. We find Styria to be the least appealing part of Austria in terms of liveliness and conviviality. Tyrol and Carinthia are better options.

All the facilities were neat and clean. The little petting zoo on the grounds is really fun for small children. And the pool was fine—not big, but neat and clean.

The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The building managers/superintendents spoke only English and were unfriendly and disinterested. They never say hello or offer a friendly smile. You couldn't even file a complaint or ask a question because no one understood you.

The surroundings at the campground—especially the pool—were a wonderful way to cool off.

Clean sanitary area, petting zoo for children, bathing area. The pitches are planted with grass, the tent pegs are easy to hammer in.

Even as a single camper with little space, you have to rent a relatively expensive pitch (€21/night) as there is no meadow for tents. The trees on the pitches are still young and provide little shade.
