"Great location, recently reopened with new management - A very lovely campsite in a great location. Splendid views of the vicinity from the top of Rocherde Dabo, which is only a 15 min walk from te camping. It's run by a very friendly Dutch couple, who speak several languages and are happy to give lots of information about the surrounding places to visit. It is very, very quiet and dark at night, so a great place to look at the stars. :-) De facilities are a little dated, but they are in the process of upgrading the camping.

Profile

Camping du Rocher, is a small and intimate campsite located in the south of the Moselle, in the Grand Est region. We welcome you in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. From the campsite, you can walk or take a MTB …straight into the foothills of the Vosges Mountains. Many beautiful hiking and cycling (MTB) trails start directly at the campsite. We offer 33 tent, camper and caravan pitches and have a gîte d'etape (Chalet-refuge), consisting of 6 simple but clean rooms with 17 bunk beds. There are many beautiful hiking and cycling trails in the area, starting from the campsite. Enjoy the greenery around you and get out and about! The field in front of the Chalet-refuge is car- and motorcycle-free and the field opposite is accessible to all vehicles and people with pets. It is only a 4.5 -hour drive from Paris or Brussels and only an hour from Strasbourg. As the campsite was closed for several years and only very recently reopened, the facilities we can offer are very modest. There are 4 showers, 7 toilets, 6 washbasins (including 2 lockable for ladies). The campsite does not yet have a star rating. This is why our slogan is: back to basics, back to nature!
