"A bad experience - I went camping in Glăvoi and am sharing this experience for anyone who wants to know what to expect. We arrived on Thursday evening, and the campground was almost full. On the first night, just as we were falling asleep, the “festival” began: very loud club music, shouting, and laughter until around 3 a.m. I had earplugs in, and I could still hear it, even though the main source was a few hundred meters away. The next day, two women sent by City Hall collected the fee: 20 lei per tent plus 20 lei per car per night. I asked the Mountain Rescue Service how such noise was possible, and the answer was that “that’s just how weekends are” and that it’s better to come Monday through Thursday. On the second night, the music continued, a bit quieter, but until around 4 a.m., people were cracking and chopping wood, and shouts and laughter could be heard constantly throughout the valley. By the third day, we were already exhausted after two nearly sleepless nights. That evening, I ended up going from one group to another myself to ask them to turn the music down. Some understood immediately and were very civilized. Later, however, the situation escalated: I found out that a fight had broken out among the tourists involving sticks and bear spray, and the police had to intervene. That same night, several groups played their music very loudly, and around 2 a.m. I was still trying to convince people to keep the noise down. The place is extraordinary, the trails are superb, and the Milky Way seen at night was a spectacular sight. The problem is the campground’s management. They collect fees, but I didn’t see any rules being enforced, no supervision, or staff to intervene. There are too few restrooms, hundreds of campfires scattered across the clearing, wood being chopped and split, and toilet paper and wet wipes are everywhere in the forest. Glăvoi needs to be managed properly: enough clean restrooms, controlled campfires, clear rules, no music, quiet hours, and staff to enforce them. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

"No camping - It's not camping!!!! It's a place where you can camp, albeit illegally. No restrooms, no showers. And you might find the gendarmes are overzealous and come to issue a few fines

"Spartan but beautiful campsite in the heart of the Padis Plateau in the Bihor mountains - Spartan campground. There is water from a spring but toilets available only in nearby bars, no showers, there is only a small creek nearby where you can wash up,
