"We are disappointed by the high rating on Campinginfo - We were here on July 26 and were really looking forward to staying at this campground because of its high rating on Campinginfo. Overall, everything is on par with a good 2*–3* campground. The adjacent Salveland is, of course, amazing, but it has nothing to do with the campground itself. The restroom facilities—with just 7 toilets and 7 showers for both halves of the campground—are a bit on the small side. When the campground gets this busy during the holidays, the staff should definitely check the restrooms more often. For a campground that’s rated among the top in almost every category here, we’d expect on-site shopping and a restaurant. The sites are large enough, though they’re often not shaded or don’t have clear boundaries. The long-term campers have their RVs parked right next to each other. The campground is really being used to its maximum capacity. We brought a trailer, an awning, and a kids’ tent. That wouldn’t be a problem if the car didn’t have to be parked on the site as well. Since there’s only a small playground for the kids and not enough open space, the kickboard race starts at six o’clock on the narrow paths throughout the site. Please don’t get us wrong—for us, kids and dogs are part of the camping experience. There’s plenty of space around the campground to walk dogs, but signs everywhere remind you that leashes are required. We also felt it lacked a certain ambiance or special atmosphere. Everything felt a bit too utilitarian without really highlighting the region’s strengths. Overall, we were very disappointed.

"Recommendable - The site has everything you need. Sanitary facilities and washing-up area are always spotlessly clean, bread roll service, great location in a great area. All the staff are super friendly, you just feel welcome and part of the family. For us (2 adults / 1 dog / caravan) a top place! We would love to come back!

"Vacation on the riding stables - We went camping at the riding stables in June, as usual The weather did its best Friendly staff Sanitary always tip-top clean The showers with card is great solved (good cost control) Bus stop almost in front of the campsite (easy to use with guest card) What can I say, you have to experience and love the place and the surroundings As always a relaxing vacation

"Camping - We were able to stay at this family-run campsite during our extended short vacation. It was very quiet and we were able to enjoy the natural idyll. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean. Due to the good location, there are plenty of leisure activities in the surrounding area. We would like to thank you for the wonderful time we were able to spend here and would be happy to come back.

"Beautiful place in quiet surroundings very suitable for families with children - It rarely happens that I like a campsite almost completely. I can't think of anything negative about this site, apart from the road that runs right past it. The pitches are not variable in size, they are not moved together during the season. They are spacious and sufficient for larger campers or a caravan plus car. If the road were further away, it would be perfect. If you need a lot of peace and quiet, you can camp behind the main house further away from the road, where you won't hear it. The toilets and showers are very clean and are thoroughly cleaned once a day. The people in the office are very friendly and happy to help sort out any problems. The campsite also has an area for families with children near the tennis court with a playground. You shouldn't camp there if you need peace and quiet, but it's ideal for children and close to the leisure park. Further up the valley it gets quieter and there are various pitches, e.g. arranged in a circle on a meadow or between permanent campsites. You should book well in advance during the season. Out of season you can also find a free pitch spontaneously. Electricity at the pitches and water taps per 4 pitches. So you don't have to walk more than 10 meters to get or pour water.

The Treichl family warmly welcomes you to Camping Reiterhof, nestled in the breathtaking mountain landscape of the Kelchsau Valley, right next to the Kelchsauer Ache and just 1.5 km from Hopfgarten. Our campsite is open year-round, offering relaxation and fun …for the whole family in both summer and winter. We provide comfortable pitches, some arranged in terraces on grassy terrain, as well as top-quality modern sanitary facilities, including shower cabins, a baby bath, a disabled-friendly washroom, a laundry and ironing room, and a heated ski storage room. A cozy lounge with a play and reading corner and a TV is also available. For culinary delights, visit the Mamooserhof inn and guesthouse across the street or the lakeside restaurant just a five-minute walk away. Our campsite is the perfect starting point for hikes and bike tours. Tennis, fishing, paragliding, ballooning, and golf are all available nearby. Right next to the campsite is the "Salvenaland" leisure complex. Enjoy the idyllic swimming lake, a heated pool, and a children's pool with exciting attractions. The fun park, featuring a playground, summer toboggan run, mini-carts, mini-golf, and more, is sure to delight children and adults alike. Whether beach volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, or skating—fun for all ages is guaranteed! A jogging and walking park provides an ideal way to stay active in pristine nature. Winter transforms the region into a paradise for sports and relaxation. The "Wilder Kaiser-Brixental" ski area boasts 280 km of slopes, making it Austria’s largest interconnected ski area. A free ski bus stops directly in front of the campsite, taking you to the Hopfgarten gondola in just five minutes.
