The ground is very soft, so you can have a few problems maneuvering with heavy vehicles.
The water supply at the site wasn't working yet, but should be soon.
Unfortunately, the power lines in the area seem to be much too thin........ We had problems with the power supply to our caravan. I measured a voltage of just under 200V (230 V would be normal)
When using the fridge, the voltage dropped below 190 V and the fridge gave an error message and switched to gas operation.
When I asked the operator, they said: It's better to run the fridge on gas.... 5,-€ electricity flat rate ???? for what then ???
The sanitary facilities are rather basic, which is not a bad thing if they were at least clean....
But they weren't.

Wir hatten Glück und einen der neu angelegten Stellplätze direkt am Strand bekommen. Der Blick auf die Eckernförder Förde ist einfach traumhaft.
Die Mitarbeiterin in der Rezeption war sehr... nett, der Stellplatz großzügig. Die Stellplätze sind neu angelegt, deswegen wächst dort noch nicht viel Gras.
Mit dem Hund konnten wir am Strand entlang und um die Felder kilometerweit spazieren gehen und uns erholen, die Wanderwege sind alle gepflegt.
Unsere Kinder haben viel Spaß auf dem Spielplatz und in dem Indoor Spielhaus gehabt.
Loben müssen wir die Gastronomie sowohl am Imbiss als auch im Restaurant. So ein tolles Essen haben wir noch nie auf einem Campingplatz bekommen.
Wir können Karlsminde absolut empfehlen und werden definitiv wieder nach Karlsminde fahren.

The arrival was completely relaxed, friendly staff at reception.
The new vacation pitches directly on the Baltic Sea are simply amazing, the very best location with perfect weather.
The food in the beach... restaurant and at the snack bar is very tasty and the prices are absolutely fine.
Our children had a lot of fun on the playground and in the indoor playhouse. And you can walk the dogs for miles along the rapeseed fields.

Very quiet placeΑρνητικάSanitary facilities ok, but borderline.Space in a prime locationI think we booked the best pitch (548) there. The lake behind us, Eckernförde Bay to the front, only one row of pitches, not far to the sanitary facilities and totally quiet overall. However, we also had to dig into our wallets. 86 € for 2 nights. That's what we chose, although I question why the price... does NOT include WiFi and electricity is charged at a flat rate of €5. Extrapolated over the year, we pay a little more than half in our house. We also knew this in advance and I wouldn't have had to book. But unfortunately it was too tempting with the water all around and it was well worth it.
Deductions for the sanitary facilities, which were fine so far, but the ceiling area was heavily decorated with cobwebs and small animals. There is no need to understand why the toilets/showers in the house are cleaned at the best time (from 8 am).
They could be a little more modern. There is an indoor and outdoor children's playground. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Wilke and we were able to occupy the reserved pitch at 11:00 am.
We were already at the campsite in 2014 and cleanliness is very important here.
The camping guests are very nice and there is a feeling of togetherness.
Conclusion:
A great vacation, thank you very much.

Waste and walking the dog couldn't always be combined. But that's just a small time problem.best dogs CPThe nature all around, designated forest/hiking/walking trails, the dog meadow is nice and big and has a bathing lake for our pets, poop bags were everywhere and there were lots of garbage cans for them. Our furry friend particularly liked the dog beach.
And despite the really large number of dogs, it... was remarkably quiet (well, exceptions prove the rule) - thank goodness we didn't have to put up with this barking for long - some dog parents should go to dog school again.
The snack bar on the campsite has super tasty chips but also other delicious things. I ate my most expensive but also most delicious fries in the Karlminde restaurant on the campsite - homemade fries sprinkled with truffles and real parmesan, served with truffle mayonnaise. My family's other dishes also looked and tasted very, very good - fried potatoes like grandma used to make!

About the pitch: We had pitch 500, which is very uneven. Water taps partly defective or hose connection not possible. Ground very full of stones, hammering in nails was an adventure. Sanitary facilities: unkempt, unheated, soap dispensers... were not refilled for the last 4 days before the end of the season. Playground: was OK, equipment was in good condition and served its purpose. The playhouse was unfortunately not open, despite it being the vacation season. Staff: Unfriendly and ignorant. Simple questions, such as how horse riding works, could not be answered or just go to the Gutshof estate: Accessible via the access road, nice landlords, unfortunately no footpath to the farm, overall very deserted. Horse riding: Our girls love riding. We were supposed to meet at the fountain at 3pm. When we arrived at 2:45 pm, some parents were already there, the children were already on their way to fetch the horses. When the "riding supervisor" arrived, we didn't get any real information. There were then four horses in the riding arena, one of which was quite troublesome (not to say it was constantly kicking). There were also 4 ponies in the children's circle at the same time. The whole thing was supervised by 1 person who shouted commands to the riders in the arena. It happens that a horse in the children's circle kicks out and hits the next rider. When asked about the rides, the only answer was: I won't do that too, you'll have to go somewhere else. Conclusion of our riding-enthusiastic girls: We won't ride there again. Surroundings: a narrow road leads to the campsite, unfortunately without a footpath or cycle path, so a bike or skate tour with the kids was not possible. The road was also well traveled. Partly hollows and too high birch trees at the access road, which took away the great sunlight in the evening, a bit unloving... overall. The location is good for trips to Kiel, Rendsburg, Kappeln, St. Peter Ording, Oslo and the Schlei. The store on site has everything you need and delicious cakes!!!
