Quiet location
We used the site as a base for excursions to Bath, Wells etc. We also spontaneously visited Longleat House next door, which isn't cheap but was really worth it. From there, we also got lost in the neighboring animal park, which is part of the safari park, because the transition is seamless...
The campsite... is relatively simple, but everything works and is clean. Unfortunately, you can't do much on foot because the areas of Longleat House and the safari park surround the campsite. The only sound we heard from the safari park was a sea lion roaring into the night - otherwise it was very quiet. Dogs have a small exercise area next to the campsite, children have a small playground. There is no ball court.
When approaching the campsite, pay attention to the pdf of the campsite and only turn off at the "White Heart" pub, not at the "Royal Oak".
