The facilities (e.g. swimming pool) are perhaps less suitable for families with teenagers 😉.Surprisingly beautiful campsiteA beautifully laid out campsite with reception in the beautifully renovated Schwabenmühle. The reception is extremely friendly and provides all the important information. Service is the starting point. Bread, refreshments and some necessary (camping) items available. The main building has excellent sanitary... facilities. Spacious and always clean. The (younger) children have also been catered for with some play equipment and a sports field. The site is landscaped in a variety of ways and has an asphalted main path with adjoining gravel paths. The pitches are spacious and level. The surrounding area is beautiful and the campsite is an ideal starting point for exploring (parts of) the Romantic Road. Lots of information about places of interest is available at reception. A wonderful campsite for active hikers, cyclists and those seeking peace and quiet. Pizza is offered on the campsite at weekends. This is freshly prepared and tastes great. With a bottle of wine from reception. What more could you want on vacation? :-)

All technical facilities, electricity, water and waste disposal worked perfectly. Special features are the sanitary facilities and the home-baked pizzas on offer at weekends. Quietness, condition and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, service/equipment, price-performance ratio, everything really great. The whole site looks very well... maintained.

Our dog was also welcome, which is no longer a matter of course these days and made us very happy. Everything was simply familiar. The Hohage family has created an unparalleled oasis of well-being here with little details that... make life as a camper pleasant. Free camping butler, fully automatic coffee machine freely accessible on a trust basis if no one is there, showers without coins, the first pitch with really perfect WiFi. Everyone is super nice and helpful when something needs fixing, the janitor was there in no time at all or the electrician. You feel very valued as a guest. The great area rounds everything off. Laudenbach itself doesn't have that much to offer, but the location gets 5* from me because you can visit so much, we particularly liked the nearby Bad Mergentheim. The place is absolutely quiet.
If you want to go hiking or cycling, there is a cycle/footpath to Weikersheim right by the campsite.
Everything on the site was absolutely clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities... in particular were always in perfect condition.
You can pre-order bread rolls at reception. There are also a few small items for your daily needs. You can also get a selection of wines from the region here.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The whole site is lovingly designed and very well maintained. Everything has been thought of here: from the very nice and cozy reception, to the modern and very clean sanitary facilities with hairdryer and cosmetic mirrors, the dishwashing facilities,... the washing machines and dryers, the reading corner, the playground, etc. Simply everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Simply everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The staff at reception are always ready to listen to questions about your stay and leisure activities. There is plenty of free information material about the surrounding area. A special highlight is the coffee machine in reception, where you can get a delicious cappuccino or similar for little money. Bread rolls are delivered by the local bakery from Monday to Sunday.
The pitches are large enough and partly separated by hedges. A supply column with electricity, water and waste water is located directly on the pitch.
The nearest shopping facilities are approx. 4 km away and can be easily reached via a cycle path.
There are 2 restaurants in the village itself.
However, drinks can also be purchased at the reception at moderate prices. Everything was well maintained, super clean and all the staff, without exception, were so friendly and accommodating.
Wine from the Markelsheim winegrowers can be purchased at reception. What's new is that when it's cold, which... was the case for us, you can sit in a very cozy place inside with a wood-burning stove and lovely decorations and spend a cozy evening.

Generously laid out, with plenty of space, open areas and lots of greenery!
The site is easy to access and the spacious pitches with electricity, water and... waste water are also easily accessible.
Beautiful meadow for tents right next to the small playground.
Dogs are welcome, dog-walking paths (and dog-walking bags) directly behind the campsite.
Particularly noteworthy: the cleanliness on the campsite: both on the site and in the reception building and sanitary facilities: absolutely exemplary!
In the center of the campsite is the reception in the former mill building. The administrative staff are super friendly and courteous - even booking in advance by e-mail was completely pleasant and uncomplicated.
At the reception you can order a nice selection of bread rolls etc. from the local bakery - good value and good!
There is also a self-service coffee machine (espresso machine): very good coffee and reasonable prices!
There are several seating areas in the reception building and also outside - ideal for bicycle and tent campers to enjoy a comfortable breakfast even on wet days. There is also a small library and local wines for sale. Many flyers and brochures provide information about destinations in the area.
Many beautiful hiking trails directly from the campsite and many interesting places that can be reached by bike.
2 good restaurants directly in the village.
Also a good bakery, a few meters from the CP, and a farm store with a small but good selection of food.
The small town of Weikersheim with several restaurants, supermarket and sights is 2 km away on a beautiful hiking trail or cycle path.
Laudenbach train station (with relatively frequent trains) is about 100 m from the CP.
The Tauber cycle path goes directly past the CP.

Camping Schwabemühle is a very nice campsite, very friendly managers and very helpful. 70 good places, no fixed places . Hard ground, so no puddles after a rain and super nice sanitary facilities, bread service, store, bar, TV at the reception. Very good wifi (watching TV with your tablet/iPad is no problem) A great cycling and walking paradise.
