Quiet, uncomplicated campsite close to the city
The access road is in poor condition but after about 150m you reach the campsite. As I discovered on the second day, there is a second access road in much better condition. You first drive into a large courtyard with adjoining residential buildings which also house the reception. The reception is very... friendly and helpful. After completing the paperwork, you are shown the pitch and changes can be made. There are pitches in different sizes, without electricity or with either 5A or 10A. The infrastructure includes a small, modern and clean sanitary block with 3 toilets, 3 showers, 3 wash cubicles and a disabled cubicle. Sinks and a laundry sink round off the facilities. A recreation room with TV is also available for use. There is also a kitchen, but I didn't find out how to use it. In the laundry area there is a mini store with regional specialties, bread etc. and a washing machine. The site also offers several rental properties. It is located approx. 2.5 km from the city center and is connected to the public bus network. The Lac de Lourdes is about 1 km away and offers several leisure activities. Lourdes is not only worth a visit for its religious aspects, but also offers many interesting excursion destinations both nearby and a little further afield. This campsite is a good choice because of its uncomplicated nature, tranquillity, location and size (only approx. 40 pitches).
