Very nice campsite
Our trip to Melnik took us to the Autocemp Melnik campsite for the night. The location is brilliant, in 20-25 minutes on foot you are at the town hall square (provided you can climb the incline). We received a friendly welcome at the campsite and both English and German were spoken. The site is very... well maintained and there is also a well-sorted waste separation system. We were able to use electricity free of charge after registering. As we were there out of season, we were given a code for the disabled pool and were able to shower free of charge. We liked the restaurant very much, even wishes for the little guests were considered and implemented magically. Despite the freight train traffic, the noise level was kept to a minimum. There was also a small playground and lots for our child to discover

A great campsite
Clean sanitary facilities, close to the town, very well-kept site. Kaufland right next door with an ATM. Restaurant on the campsite and swimming pool opposite.

On a business trip, I wanted to avoid staying in a hotel because of Covid19. I felt isolated and very comfortable here with the caravan. Autocamp Melnik is a large complex with a campsite, overnight barrels, bungalows, vacation apartments, a hotel and a recommendable restaurant. You are warmly welcomed... at a small, cozy reception and provided with everything you need to know.
There are no permanent campers. The campsite is completely fenced in and has a high gate at the entrance. The camp is close to the town center. The pitches are on 2 levels and are all on level grass with firm ground, making them ideal for campers - whether with a tent, caravan or camper van. There were no puddles despite the wet weather.
The electricity connections for the pitches on the lower level of the site are located on the wall. As I was all alone on the pitch, I was able to use a single bathroom. Perfect!
The interior of the restaurant makes a simple impression. Wrong! The standard and quality of the food is surprisingly high. The steaks are grilled to perfection. Someone who enjoys cooking here! The restaurant also had a take-away daily menu with changing regional dishes. This offer is also used by people outside the campsite.
The camp is close to the center. All shopping facilities are within walking or cycling distance. Gray propane bottles are refilled at the gas station behind the Shell filling station. A railroad track used sporadically by a freight train can be a nuisance in the upper part of the campsite.
The outdoor pool right next to the campsite makes a nice impression.
The staff was very friendly at every encounter & always eager to make sure my stay was pleasant. Every service I needed, including laundry, was provided. I felt safe & very comfortable at the camp. In my experience, the camp is highly recommended & a good choice for this area.
