Great location for sightseeing. Quiet spot. Beautiful old trees.
Negativ
No Wi-Fi on the campground; only at the front desk. There are far too few public restrooms for the entire campground, and the washrooms get dirty when it rains.
A Visit to Nancy
A conveniently located spot with bus service, ideal for sightseeing or as a stopover.

No longer maintained. Insufficient power supply
No longer recommended
We used this place again this year for an overnight stay as we knew it from previous years. The disappointment was great. The sanitary facilities were dirty (were only flooded) and were partially inaccessible, even though the site was full. Some of the power connections were faulty. Several pillars were... without power.
The existing swimming pool was still being used late into the night, although it was supposed to close at 7pm.
No control on the pitch...everything made a loveless impression. Too bad...never again for us.

Positive
- spacious fenced site, large pitches - beautiful, well-lit trees - good infrastructure around the CP: restaurants, shopping center (by car) - Easy to reach and suitable for all vehicles - Restaurant offers a limited, simple menu but is friendly and good. - Staff are friendly and helpful
Negativ
- Sanitary facilities are a thing of their own: in any case clean, the condition of the various facilities varies greatly from old but ok to desolate. - the electrical system is poorly maintained: some sockets do not work, some are broken - Chemical toilet emptying is not very hygienic
beautiful location in a leisure and university district above the city
To summarize, the facility is very ambivalent: the location and the huge walled square with beautiful trees is actually idyllic and ideal for short and long stays. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The site itself has a maintenance and investment backlog. The team makes an effort in terms of cleaning,... helpfulness and friendliness, but this does not make up for the old, desolate and partly decommissioned infrastructure.
Depending on what you need (self-sufficient camper vs. dependence on the CP facilities) and expect, the site is either great or the opposite.

Sanitary facilities are clean and rather basic.
Campsite close to the city ***
A good choice for visiting Nancy or just passing through.

Needs to be "refurbished"
Visit Nancy well suited
Ideal starting point to explore Nancy, public transport directly at the campsite. Pitches are marked and uneven, electricity connections in the middle of the meadow area with low power, sanitary facilities are old and should be given attention. Attention, observe barrier times from 12.30-15.00. WLAN... 3€ per day, but does not work in the rear area.
Nancy is worth a visit, we would recommend the restaurant Les Tartes de Stanislas in Rue Stanislas, a restaurant run by older ladies.

good location for excursions, small but nice swimming pool, friendly staff

Charcoal barbecue only on the barbecue area
8 days on the transit ward
We (47, 46, 13, 12) were guests for 8 days with the tent. Great location because you can start your excursions in the region from there. Nancy is a beautiful city, definitely worth a visit, as is Metz. The Lorraine hinterland is simply beautiful. The site itself offers friendly staff, a small but very... nice swimming pool, bread service and large pitches. The sanitary facilities are fairly newly renovated (although according to my wife, the hand soap was never refilled in one of the sanitary areas for women and there were no electrical connections), which I have experienced quite differently here and there in France. Unfortunately for the majority of people it's just an overnight stop, so the neighbors change every day, but that didn't bother us too much.

Amazingly quiet place
As I only stayed overnight, I can't say anything about a longer stay. The site is largely flat and parceled out. Some pitches are paved. The sanitary facilities are kept meticulously clean. The only unpleasant thing I noticed was the out-of-date charges for Wi-Fi at three euros per day. The reception... was friendly, bread can be pre-ordered; otherwise there is a small snack bar with short opening hours and no other facilities. Despite its proximity to the city, the site was surprisingly quiet at night; the nearby highway was barely audible.

Easy to reach the city center by car or bus. The barrier is open for a long time, so you can still see Nancy at night
Negativ
Street noise at night. A bike ride into the city center is difficult, at least with children, due to the 10% incline.
Quiet city and overnight camping
We visited this campsite for 2 nights to visit Nancy. And this campsite was great! We received a friendly welcome at reception in English or French. We hadn't made a reservation, but that wasn't necessary as there were still plenty of pitches available. We were allowed to choose a pitch after asking.... The pitches, which are mainly under trees, are filled with gravel and are good so far. The sanitary facilities are not really modern, but mostly clean and therefore adequate. There is a small playground and a small bouncy castle for 4 to 6 year olds and a small football/basketball pitch for the slightly older ones. You can buy a few groceries at the reception. However, you can't really call this a store. There is a restaurant/snack bar. You can also pick up food there. There is also the option of ordering fresh (and really tasty 😉😋) bread rolls, croissants, baguettes,... to pick up at reception. The nearest shop is about 2km away. Nancy is easy to reach by bus or car. However, it is hardly possible to get there by bike, as the 10% incline from the city center to the campsite is not manageable, at least for families with children. The campsite is almost empty during the day and then slowly fills up in the evening, as most people only spend one night here and continue their journey the next morning. The site is also very suitable for this, as there are many pitches where you don't even have to unhitch and can drive in and out very easily. The campsite is very quiet, you can only hear the nearby road very clearly in the evening/at night. So if you're looking for a somewhat simpler campsite that's close to the city but still quiet and doesn't need a lot of entertainment and leisure facilities, this is the place for you. For us it was a nice stopover, but not a campsite for a longer stay.

Bus stop at the campsite (100 m)

Situated on a hill, the way back from the city by bike is very difficult.
City camping
Friendly reception. Choice of pitches (low season). Few water points. Insufficient camper disposal point. Chemical toilet station without water for rinsing (would have to be paid for). Good bus connection to the old town. Very small camping store with minimal selection, more of an alibi. Restaurant closed. Shopping facilities far away.

Public transportation sparse in the evening
Decent stopover site and good for sightseeing
It's a good place for a stopover and easy to get into the city by public transport, but not easy to get back in the evening (after 21:00) as the bus, which stops right next to the square, doesn't run for very long. The stop for the streetcar, which runs later, is about 2 km away. The friendly lady at... reception pointed out to us on arrival that we should inspect the proposed pitch, as it had been raining heavily for days at the end of May 2016. The pitches were therefore often soggy. The sanitary block is simple, but still acceptable; unfortunately only accessible via the meadow (i.e. through mud in heavy rain). In September 2017, the pitch allocation did not work properly because some campers had probably not occupied the allocated pitches without discussing this with reception. But a pitch was found... Restaurants and stores are approx. 2 km away, and there is (was) a mini-market on the site.

Quickly accessible from the highway, yet quiet. There is a bus to the city at short intervals. If you want to see Nancy, this is the place to be. Service is professional, the SP is large and comfortable.
