End-of-season celebration in Hvidbjerg....
We’re back again—repeat visitors. The campground is still working on expanding its pool area (our third fall camping trip in a row). This year, the campground was very busy. Every year, you notice new investments and renovations. The campground is always kept up to date. We usually get our campsites... in the “green zone,” and we weren’t caught off guard by the rain this time either. Unfortunately, we had to pay for the wellness area for the first time; otherwise, it was always included in the price from Monday to Thursday during our fall vacation week. Not this time, though. I guess those days are over now? The fish shop and the ice cream shop have been upgraded, and there’s a wide selection of ice cream flavors available. We really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to our next fall vacation at this campground.

Luxury Camping by the Sea
We stayed at the campground for two weeks in August. I won’t even begin to list everything the campground has to offer. Just check out their website... In my opinion, it’s hard to imagine how they could make it much better. It simply has everything you could possibly want. The campground has been brought... up to the latest standards in every respect. Given the facilities and infrastructure, the value for money is more than fair. Other campgrounds, for example, charge extra for admission to Playcity and the swimming pool. Here, that was included. Of course, horseback riding, spa services, and certain activities cost extra. But we never felt like we were being ripped off.
You do need to know what you’re getting into, though. During summer vacation, there probably isn’t a single campsite that hasn’t been booked by families with children.
Our 7-year-old had a lot of fun, of course, and was always kept busy. To be fair, we’ve had quieter vacations before, but we knew that going in. Where kids play, it’s bound to be loud. No reason for negative reviews!
The campsites are huge and very well-equipped. The grounds are beautiful and full of greenery. But be careful: because of the size and the otherwise great layout, it’s easy to get lost;)
The wash houses were all very modern and always clean. Only the dishwashing area was a bit small, and unfortunately, in the evenings, the water was only lukewarm. On the other hand, the showers were always warm. Tip: The family baths are AMAZING!!!
From the campground, you can walk to the kilometer-long sandy beach. The small town and other sights are also easily accessible by bike or on foot.
The food options at the campground are very good. Pizza, street food, a fish market, and a luxury beach restaurant. There’s something for everyone. We tried the pizza and the fish. The prices were very reasonable, and the food was delicious.
In short: We didn’t miss a thing and felt very comfortable. Thanks to the Hvidbjerg team

HERBSTURLAUB 2025 on the construction site
FALL VACATION 2025 ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE!

We love going to this campsite in the fall. Especially because of what this site has to offer in the low season. We moved into our pitch in the green area on 26.10. (for a week). The pitch stayed dry despite a lot of rain. We had no worries about rain.... While the pitches in the yellow area were once again covered in mud. The water from the river was drained, otherwise it would have overflowed, as has often happened before. We had actually been looking forward to the week's vacation for a long time. We deliberately avoided the blue area, as 16 North Sea villas are being built here. Every morning from 6.30 a.m., the construction site is diligently occupied and hammered for all it's worth and the construction vehicles drive up with a loud noise. We can still use the swimming pool as normal for the first few days. However, the rear pool was closed off from 28.10. onwards. A renovation project is starting there, which apparently has to be started right now in the last week of the SH vacations and can't wait another week until the place is less busy. From then on, the fun of swimming was gone. We visited the pool once and had enough of the mass bathing after 30 minutes. You couldn't even use an arm's length around you to move around. Too bad, our daughter is out of the age of the indoor, her highlights were the bathing, which was now also omitted. So any other place would have done. We were happy to make use of the wellness facilities, which are always great in the low season. As always, the sanitary facilities were pleasantly clean and heated!

Almost everything, simply a great CP!!! Clean, new washrooms, brilliant wellness area, small store that offers a lot, ice cream parlor, pizzeria (delicious), play paradise for kids (including trampoline hall, western town, horse riding), indoor swimming pool, walking distance to the beach. Pitches paved with grass. Very friendly staff. Blavand City is about 15 minutes away on foot. Lots of opportunities for walking the dog, even an agility area, great!
Negativ
Only small things, but they shouldn't be at a 6-star campsite: Only one washbasin with soap in the washroom (for after using the toilet), which meant that the soap ran out during the day. There are plenty of washbasins in individual cabins, but without soap. Washing-up area for dishes nice to look at, but in my opinion a draining rack is missing. W-Lan poor. Bathing area too small for the large CP, but will be expanded by 2026.
Great campsite, close to the beach
A well-maintained campsite that delights young and old with its range of activities. You can forget about bad weather in the wellness area, the bathing area or the playland. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable. I would love to come back!!!!!

Great place for the family in the fall
We are repeat offenders as we have lots of activities on site for the young 9 year old. Regardless of the weather.

It was very quiet in the green area as it was rather busy in the purple area. We were dry this year, last year we got soaked in the yellow area when it rained.

We love the North Sea nearby... and were able to use the spa for free, which I wouldn't normally pay extra for. The Wiese swimming pool was used daily by the boys, but was really full at times. The indoor playground was also quite full from time to time.

We like having lots of opportunities for shopping, eating out and activities right next to the campsite, but this all comes at a price....

We were lucky enough to have a brand new wash house in the
green area. We almost exclusively used the family bathrooms, which were always free, very spacious and had a shared toilet, shower and washbasin in one room.

Beautiful week in fall
We are repeat offenders. We visited this course for the 5th time this fall. You can see how much is invested in the campsite every year. Now we were able to see the oversized reception. (Is that really necessary? Well)
We were in the green area, these are standard pitches and they were in a relatively... quiet location and the wash house was newly renovated and modern. Next year there will be a fitness studio. We had access to the wellness center from Monday to Thursday, which we really liked. We also liked the fact that it was quiet and only accessible from the age of 16. We ate pizza on the square, highly recommended. You can get a lot of things for your daily needs in the store. Blavand itself is actually always full, at least on the days we were there.

Wet pitch near the floodplain, everything overcrowded (swimming pool and indoor), flooding of the pitches in heavy rain
Very wet and expensive camping
It was our first time here with our caravan. It was very crowded. We sometimes had to wait until we could go to the swimming pool or indoor playground. The campsite pays well for this. For the high prices that you have to pay when booking (booking fee of 10.- e.g.) you would have to go to the swimming... pool every day. Unfortunately, we didn't really like the swimming pool. Stupid layout with the different small pools. You couldn't really swim there - no space and lots of people. Only our 8-year-old son liked the slides. But you had to queue there for up to 20 minutes on one day....My daughter and I were only there once for 30 minutes. In the swimming pool. We always had to wait at the indoor playground because it was absolutely full.
Then, on the penultimate day, our row in the giving area was completely flooded. The last 8 seats were completely under 10cm of water. We were a bit luckier, we only had a few puddles, but the awning was still under water.
Our wash house (30) was really great. Everything was new, modern and clean! Unfortunately, the cookhouse was always a bit cold to sit in for long periods. I also liked the proximity to the campsite - everything was close to the river and the on-site supply. We were able to buy fresh bread rolls every day, ordered pizza once without any fuss and the ice cream and fish & chips were also great. At the reception they were always very friendly and many things were possible digitally, such as the Armand or the barrier via cell phone.

Fall camping DELUXE... Repeat offender
This is the fourth time we've been to this campsite, we've always been here during the fall vacations, and this year was no exception. This year the campsite was fully booked. This made a booking necessary, spontaneous arrival was not possible. There is already a good promise, 20 euros site selection... and 10 euros booking fee. We were in the yellow area. At the end of the path it was very muddy and slippery on the paths. The kitchen was quite fresh, probably uninhibited when no one was cooking. And in the swimming pool, the temperature of the pool at the back was just too fresh for us. But that was all the criticism. Despite the really bad weather (rain and storms) we enjoyed this week and are going home well rested. We had two kids with us, aged 15 and 11. They were busy and happy at the fishing lake and also in the indoor area. The approach has a well-equipped store and you can get a lot for your daily needs here. Fresh bread rolls and sandwiches are also available there every day. A new reception building is currently being built and there is constant investment in the site. Our wash house was renovated and everything was clean. You can open the barrier via app. This year there were new wristbands for access to the swimming pool and indoor pool. We will be coming back to this campsite for a 5th time next year.

Close to the beach, nice vacation feeling. Wellness area.

Not everything well maintained. Partly noisy, lots of dogs barking. Total price must be paid immediately upon booking.
Actually very nice - with some compromises
We had booked an XL comfort pitch with private sanitary facilities near the beach in June.
After the great advertising pictures and the 6* we probably raised our expectations a little too high. The private sanitary facilities were rather old and not really well cleaned on arrival. The shower head was... calcified and there were heaps of hairs from the previous guest. When the "cleaning team" was free next to us, one of 3 employees entered the sani and after 1 minute all 3 drove away again. Next free seat - same game. That explains it then. The public sani looked good, but we didn't use them.
The grounds themselves could be better maintained for 6*.

We liked the wellness area and it was also included during our travel period. For children there is the western town and plenty of opportunities to play. The proximity to the sea is great. The fishing lake is also very nicely done with direct pitches for anglers. There is an extra dog area behind it. There is also the possibility of horse riding behind the western town.

The campsite is of course huge and the paths sometimes confused us. You need a bit of time, but after a few walks you have it under control. We found the normal pitches a bit cramped. On the comfort pitches you can also park 2 caravans/motorhomes/tents. This is certainly great for some, but unfortunately we found it extremely noisy at times with lots of people, children and dogs on the adjacent pitches. However, as it got very chilly in the evening, we were at least able to get a good night's sleep.

The village offers plenty of places to stroll and store.

Our conclusion: Nice place, but the price is not necessarily justified. Especially not when you have to pay extra at certain times of the year.

Top place in Denmark- Hvidjerg Strand Camping
Despite the Whitsun vacations, it feels like not even half of the campsite is occupied. I guess everyone wants to go south...
We have great weather, although of course always accompanied by wind, the kids have a play paradise here that is hard to beat. Large play hall, extra trampoline hall, beautiful... playgrounds, football pitch, fishing lake and a beautifully designed swimming area, all free to use. Parents also have an exclusive wellness area here!
Kitchen equipped with cooking facilities, oven, microwave, sitting area.
The landscape is a dream, the sea is 200m from the campsite, the beach is beautiful and we can't complain about anything major here. There are plenty of places to visit.
Highly recommended!

We had booked a stay from 05. to 12.08.. After there was a travel warning from the Foreign Office on 25.07. due to the high Covid-19 incidence for the whole of Denmark (which was withdrawn on 01.08. as there is no longer a classification into simple risk... areas), we had tried to rebook or cancel the stay. Unfortunately, no one can be reached by phone at any time of the day, so after 15 minutes on hold, you hang up exasperated. Emails only ever refer to the terms and conditions and state that the Blavand region is not affected by Covid-19. Therefore, it is not possible to cancel or rebook. Unfortunately, no offer from the operator to offer the pitch elsewhere and then at least credit part of the amount.
With a permanent incidence of over 100, one could expect a concession from the operator at such times. We would have liked to have stayed there next year, but will NEVER think about booking there again.
Apparently the operator can afford to treat guests like this

On our last vacation, unfortunately, unlike in the previous 8 years, care was not taken to ensure that our two cabins were next to each other as desired. Otherwise, there is nothing to criticize here.

The campsite really offers something for everyone. For our 9 children, aged from 1 year to 14 years, there was something for everyone. Swimming pool, playgrounds, indoor playgrounds, one for the older children and one for the younger ones, as well as the trampoline center. Fun for the whole family!
Attention... is always paid to cleanliness and everyone is super friendly. The beautiful surroundings are perfect for excursions and walks.
We rented 2 fisherman's huts, as these are particularly advantageous in October with their facilities (underfloor heating). They are also beautifully situated and offer plenty of space for the whole family.

Registration process......and that you do not stand by your statements
Never again!!!!!!
We've always been big fans of Hvidbjerg Strand and have raved about it to many camper friends who then also went there. The place offers a lot and is simply beautiful. However, we have now experienced something that has made me very disappointed, sad and angry. We booked 1 week with our caravan in the... spring for the fall vacations and already paid in full. We didn't cancel our booking at the time, but why would we have done that? In any case, it is now not possible for us to go on vacation and I then asked whether we have to pay 100% in the event of a cancellation ..... whereupon the following answer came:
Hello Marcus

Everything is open here.

The question about the refund depends on when you cancel your vacation, between 30-60 days you can get half the money, but if it is later you can unfortunately not get any without a cancellation protection.

Med venlig hilsen/Best regards/Best regards

Because of this email I assumed that we would get 50% back and have canceled.
But then I received an email that I will not get anything back because I don't have a cancellation policy. But the email above says otherwise. And even if I have been given wrong information, I think you have to find a solution and, if necessary, stand by your word and refund me 50%..... about 200, - Well, in any case, Hvidbjerg has behaved very stubbornly and arrogantly and has no interest in standing by his statement from the email or finding a solution. For us such a behavior is unacceptable and who treats his guests like this can not really be a good host. For this reason, Hvidbjerg Strand is taboo in the future ..... unfortunately ..... because we used to love the place. What a pity.
