Good campsite in a fantastic location
Whitby is a busy and attractive harbor town, full at weekends. The same applies to the campsite. It is located directly on the cliffs with a view of the sea and the ruins of Whitby Abbey. 1.6 km walk along the cliffs, past Whitby Abbey, 199 steps down to the town. Pitches on grass, spacious, all with... electricity, many of them quite sloping, so you need plenty of wedges. Sanitary facilities basically OK and clean, but too small when the pitch is full. Service point for camper vans at the entrance. Store and snack bar on site. 23 pounds for 2 people, camper van, low season, all inclusive. Reservation required for weekends, even in the low season.
