- jaser b.September 2015Campsite in the middle of a fantastically beautiful landscapeThe campsite is very basic, even by Scottish/English standards. However, the fantastic location makes up for everything - even the many mitches. The location in the middle of the Black Collins and the view of Loch Sligachan is simply a dream. The numerous hikers in their tents also give this place a... very special flair. One small drawback was the many mitches, which were really annoying for the first and only time during our two weeks in Scotland. The sanitary facilities are simple and very busy and therefore not necessarily the standard we are used to/desire - but even that doesn't bother us at all in this unique place.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Volli d.July 2015PozitivaPerfect as a starting point for everything on SkyeGreat as a starting point ...You don't stay here for 2 weeks, but nobody does that anyway ... You drive around on Skye ... the place is perfect for that. The road nearby is also quiet at night, no problem! The pub at the hotel is great, has everything you need ... the older gentleman who manages everything there is friendly, even if the dialect up here is really ... well, you can understand it ...Automaticky přeloženo.
- Steffen H.June 2015PozitivaQuiet location, in the middle of nature. Starting point for hikes and (motor)bike tours.NegativaNo stores nearby.Pure nature! The campsite is very easy to find. It is located directly on the road towards Portree. Nearby, the road branches off to Carbost and the Talisker Distillery. Here you are in the middle of nature. Above the road is just a brewery with a hotel and a house. There is not much to hear from the road. There... is no barrier here. You simply drive onto the site and look for a free parking space. There is usually a power socket on the corner. The groundsman comes by in the evening to collect payment. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean. They are cleaned daily. The campsite is the ideal starting point for hikes and (motor)bike tours, otherwise there is nothing to do on the site itself. An overnight stay costs 20 pounds.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Werner S.August 2014PozitivaGood starting point for hikes to the Cuillin HillsNegativaLocated directly on the busy A87 highwayTransit campsiteThe site is quite large and without trees, shrubs or hedges. Pitches for motorhomes and caravans are located in the front area on a gravel surface. Although the site is located in a scenic area, it has a rather unpretentious and cool feel. There is a restaurant in the nearby Sligachan Hotel. There is also a simple camper van station.Automaticky přeloženo.
