Beautiful location - but otherwise just a rip-off since the change of operator
Until 2 years ago, we stayed here at least 10 times a year for the weekend, sometimes even for our annual vacation. But since the campsite got new management, everything has changed for the worse. The prices have exploded in comparison to other surrounding campsites. Larger motorhomes and caravans have... to pay €10 MORE per day. (You have to let that melt in your mouth - 10 euros - a sheer rip-off). The electricity prices are also enormous. A dog is charged €6. There is even a surcharge on public holidays. WLAN for a fee, but without internet reception!
The only sad thing is that the catering companies etc. make a lot of effort, but unfortunately the campsite makes up for this.
We will probably not come back and will now visit another campsite 20km away (also on the lake with a lake view) for half the price.

Recommendable
Although it is a recreational park for the local population in addition to the actual campsite, it is a very nice and spacious site with friendly staff. Several catering options and of course an early bread roll service, as well as a mini store. Clean sanitary facilities and the site makes a well-kept impression. Ideal for visiting the town of Altenburg, about 12 km away.

The lake is quite nice, but you only recognize it if you stand directly on the path in front of it. almost all places have no (!) lake view.

Where should I start... - I would be ashamed to charge shower tokens for one euro per 3 minutes for the showers. Tested 3 showers, one didn't work at all, the other only had cold water and with the third it took 1.5 minutes until it was almost warm. And then you can't even shower for 3 minutes as advertised. - Sanitary facilities are generally getting on in years, but the main thing is that money is charged for them, but nothing is done. - The internet here is so bad, I've never experienced it before. The operators have the cheek to charge money for the WLAN when not even the normal power supply is stable here. Even the WLAN you buy is pure lottery... - It feels like extra money is being charged for everything here, but it's certainly not being reinvested.

Unfortunately we can not recommend this campsite at all!
Sanitary facilities and the reception are the purest disaster!

Very nice place
Always happy to return, we were all very satisfied, very nice place.
The possibilities to go out to eat, to buy freshly smoked fish up to the country butcher's shop once a week. Of course there is also the possibility to buy bread rolls and small things for every day.

Very nice location, but that's all!

I had health and logistical problems and asked for help at reception. No answer! I was dismissed quickly and coldly. This behavior ruined my stay once and for all, therefore only a 1.
Never again!
- far too expensive, comparable pitches within a radius of 30 km cost almost half as much,
Electricity also costs considerably more
- Catering closes at 8 p.m. and is completely closed two days a week
- Lawn on the pitches is unkempt and apparently not maintained
- No internet reception, CP offers access... for an extra charge, but it doesn't work either, even making phone calls is difficult
- The tone of the staff is impertinent to malicious, instead of factual explanations, you only get a list of prohibitions,
Original tone: "Only what I decide happens in my seat!" (The pitch does not belong to you, Mr. groundsman! You are an employee).
- The manager of the pitch in particular should think twice about herself, you rarely see so much malice,
Self-control, empathy and less arbitrariness would certainly make you a better person!
- I was overcharged by €50.00 twice on departure, it took 6 weeks and several inquiries to rectify the error, nice extra income if the guests don't notice!
- I'd rather go to the Aumatal dam or the Aga nature campsite in future

- Showers! 1€ per shower (3 min) and then it takes ages (1.5 min) for the shower to get warm - We already had a lot of mosquitoes at the beginning of April. I don't want to know what it's like in summer.
Ok for a weekend
We visited the campsite during the Easter weekend 2024.
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the site. There are lots of play facilities for children.

The basic price is relatively cheap, but 1€ for the showers is not reasonable. 0.90€ for the kWh is also rather at the upper limit.

Unfortunately,... you can't leave "just like that", but have to wait to be disconnected from the power grid.

All in all, a solid pitch that unfortunately loses points for the sanitary facilities.

Small comfort pitches that drain when it rains, but free upgrade. Shower tokens for 3 minute showers. Very small and few showers. 1€ Euro per kWh. No WLAN, poor cell phone reception.

Very nice
The staff is very friendly. The price is a bit steep... Actually twice as much as the night before...
Overall, the place makes a friendly impression, especially because of the all-round offer.

A place that can still call itself a campsite, not a fairground where only events take place.

You have to walk a bit for dogs to have their own beach by the lake. The kiosk still has a lot of room for improvement, it's still like it was shortly after reunification, unfortunately.
A great campsite as it should be
We have been coming back for over 30 years and will continue to do so. Staff very nice only the would like to boss is a bit strange. What's great is the fresh fish smoked on site and the butcher who comes with his trolley with delicious goods.

Very friendly staff. Large pitches, freely selectable. Fair price. Great play facilities for the children. Local supply via small store.

At the end of October with few guests, the sanitary facilities were ok. With two children alone in the high season, I imagine the space in the showers to be rather sporty.... I think the shower tokens are feasible, even if they are no longer up to date.
It was ok for a short trip at the end of October
The site is beautifully situated on a lake and offers lots of play opportunities for children.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a small store for morning rolls and at least two places to eat. The sanitary facilities were clean, disposal for gray water and toilet completely sufficient,... although, depending on the location, a bit far away.
I don't think the shower coin system is up to date, but everything worked, and the size of the shower cubicles/washrooms in high season with two children is certainly sporty. At the end of the season it was ok because there just weren't many people around. The tourist pitches are right by the lake and separated from the permanent campers by the main path.
For a short trip to Leipzig to the zoo or similar, the site is really well located and recommended.

Rating for Pahna, the place is great, everything you need is there, simple
It is our favorite place, also for our grandson (14). We have been coming here for many years and it is a must, otherwise it is not camping. We have been to many other campsites, but here everything is just right. We'll be back next year, with our grandson (at our own request) and without.

Unfriendliness and harsh tone at reception!

Unfortunately, the tone of the reception staff was ice-cold! Regulatory, authoritative - we rule here!
I would have expected a friendly "hello", but unfortunately only angry looks. We arrived at around 5 pm on a Friday. Of course, it was vacation time... long queue in front of reception. Everyone wondered... what was taking so long - you had to enter all your details to make a reservation. We struck up a conversation with the people waiting and also with those who had already received barrier keys etc. - and realized that others also noticed the harsh tone at reception. Enter individually! Anyone who did, because someone came out, was harshly told to wait outside. Friendliness? Nobody knows it here!
Dear management! Reconsider the reception staff (even if good ones are hard to come by, but the blonde with the pigtail and the older one - impossible!!!).
The place itself is nice, many with dogs. The pitches close to the water and partly under trees.
Gastronomy sufficient.
Nice for a walk, the lake invites you to swim.

The lake, the grounds, playgrounds, caravans are right next to the water, the mobile service staff (all men) are in a good mood

The pitches in area A are all in the dirt, therefore dusty, not no pitches, everyone stands where they can find space. The sanitary facilities in areas A and K are borderline, showers with shower tokens. This wooden hut for washing up with 3 basins in this area is grotty, there is always a queue. There is no or hardly any wireless network on the whole campsite, neither D1 nor D2 works.... you are forced to buy the campsite's own WLAN for 2 euros per day, you only have reception directly at the transmitter mast at the sanitary building. This is a huge no-go in this day and age. Even making phone calls is a problem. If you can't do without the internet should avoid this place. All catering establishments offer overpriced self-service food ... French fries red , white 4.10 € is already a number . Both snack bar operators close early, one at 7 pm, the other at 8.30 pm and now the Hammer !!!!!! You have to pay in full on arrival. If you leave earlier, there's no money back. That's a rip-off! Our granddaughter fell ill on the 2nd day and had to be picked up. The 6 days advance payment was neither refunded nor offset against electricity. That's not acceptable and certainly not in accordance with the law.
Beautiful lake, good for a short vacation, but nothing more
For campers with no great demands, the place is ok.

The lake has nice clean water,
Bathing, swimming, boating, SUP paddling goes well.

Gastronomy and catering are a disaster.
Beautiful place for self-catering
Compared to last year, the place has unfortunately deteriorated considerably. A year ago you were served in the beach café, this year you're lucky if it's open at all. In the snack bar next door you could get mushrooms with your schnitzel last year, but this time not even any sauce, of course at the... same price. A scoop of ice cream is now €1.80 and all other food and drinks are self-service. The campsite store is only open for 2 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. At the bakery you can only get fresh bread rolls from 8-10am, if you arrive late you are simply out of luck. At the check-in, not a word was said about the fact that there was a fire department event at the weekend and that at 7:30 in the morning people were riding quad bikes along the promenade and sometimes you thought you were staying at a carnival. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, as a camper you now feel alone in the middle of nowhere, the whole place is paved over with mobile homes, which totally destroys the actually great atmosphere. There is no longer a meadow for tents as such. The whole thing takes on the charm of a parking lot The lake is still beautiful, but is sometimes occupied by dog owners even though there is a separate dog beach section. This is not controlled and is therefore simply tolerated. There is also a lot of barking at night. The place itself is really beautiful, but every year you notice that the quality is declining.

Quality has declined
In recent years, there has been a steady deterioration in the catering sector. Closing days have been extended to Mondays and Tuesdays. It also happens that the restaurant is not open at short notice. This is not indicated at the entrance to the camping park but at the restaurant itself. The prices in... the small store have been drastically increased in some places. The camping store on site only opens for a short time at the weekend.
This increases the dissatisfaction.

The dog beach is very small and usually overcrowded.
Beautiful campsite
I was there with my girlfriend and 2 dogs. The site was quite full for the beginning of the season.
Otherwise very nice pitches and very quick access to the lake.
The catering on the site is very good.
As I have often been there with youth groups, I find that the friendliness varies.
You get the feeling... that youth groups are not so welcome.

WLAN can be purchased, but it's a game of chance whether it works. I only had problems.

Otherwise, however, everything was fine. Gladly again

I have visited the campsite before and had the feeling that the price-performance ratio has dropped a little, I think four euros for a dog is a bit too expensive.

Place is mainly designed for permanent campers, many prohibitions, especially for campers (tourists) with dogs
A lot of nice things but.....
It was a test week with a dog to get to know this place. I was asked on the phone at the very first inquiry: Do the dogs bark? Yes, otherwise they would be fish.
It's not exactly a comfortable entrance for campers, so we were reminded what we had done wrong. When we checked in, the receptionist criticized... us again: 3 dogs, that's a bit sporty :(, but we were allowed on the pitch as we had booked and paid.
Of course, we had to find our way around first and headed for the "dog beach". It's outside the campsite and doesn't deserve to be called a dog beach, it's a narrow, somewhat trampled bathing area for dogs, no chance of relaxing on a blanket there. If you're lucky and no anglers or nudists have already invaded the dog beach, you can let your dog into the water. At a price of €4 per dog per day, I expect something else.
It's compulsory to keep your dog on a lead on the campsite, which is fine, but you're not allowed to take your dog for a walk on the beach. As there were a lot of dogs around, it was not always easy to avoid them on the paths. The absolute silence was really bad for us, even during the day, not a single camper had music on and there was also a strict midday rest from 12 to 2 p.m. for tourists, when the trees were cut down with a huge cherry picker and chainsaw, regardless of whether there was a caravan, camper van or tent.
And then one of our dogs actually barked at 11 a.m. and a permanent camper immediately shouted over the hedge: Quiet!!!! From 10 p.m. the site was absolutely quiet. We had the impression that we had booked a vow of silence.
As the electricity is paid for on departure, I of course made my criticism and was really told off.
I can't recommend the site for campers with dogs, it's expensive and not at all designed for dogs.
I would recommend that the staff attend a manners course, that's no way to treat customers.
Big praise to the cleaning staff.

Beautiful campsite in great nature
Were there in June 2021 and you have to say, very nice place, good pitches in category "K" with everything equipped. Not overpriced. Sanitary house S III not yet to be renovated, S II is already top in order. Beautiful lake with beach area and playground, great for children.
Drive via Frohburg, where the road is in excellent condition right up to the entrance.

A very tidy site with a wide range of services and varied gastronomy. Everyone will find something to suit their taste here. A beautiful swimming lake rounds off the whole experience.
