Camping in the middle of the forest. Shady and sunny pitches to choose from. Clean bathing pond with sandy beach, playground and volleyball court. Quietly situated site. Clean sanitary facilities. Shopping facilities in the village only approx. 2km away. Small snack bar on site. Good starting point for hikes and bike tours.
Negativa
Entrance to the bathing pond is subject to a charge. No wifi hotspot. Reception not manned daily. Only available by telephone. Chemical toilet outside near the scullery in the form of a sink. Pitch lighting partially defective. As a natural campsite, there are also many potholes on the paths, which are full of puddles when it rains. No washing or shower cubicles available in the sanitary area. The site consists mainly of permanent campers. Price-performance ratio worth considering.
Nature camping in the truest sense of the word
We found a real nature campsite in a wooded area. The pitches offered plenty of space. Electricity and water taps were available. We enjoyed the peace and quiet even though the site was full of permanent camper pitches. There were no shopping facilities on the site. There is only a small chip shop and... a drinks counter, but these are only open in good weather. Entry to the really clean and clear bathing pond was not free. However, there were changing cabins there. The water was so clear that you could see the carp swimming there. Access to the sanitary facilities is only possible with a key, which could be purchased for a deposit. The fact that there was no free wifi reception can also be attributed to the concept of a nature campsite. At times, the site was not only quiet but also silent. Overall, this site is "getting on in years". Here and there you can still see the old charm of the 80s shining through. There are renovation backlogs, but the staff make every effort to keep the site looking tidy. Both the really clean and renovated toilet and shower facilities and the always helpful and friendly staff are worthy of praise. When choosing a pitch, you should not only look at the basic price but also at the prices of the additional costs. We were a little surprised. Reservations were not necessary. There is always a pitch on this large site.

A beautiful, quiet and natural campsite
If you love nature and don't need luxury, you're in very good hands here. A place characterized by very friendly permanent campers. The forest pool is an absolute highlight, crystal clear visibility up to approx. 2m, pedal boat, water slides, diving platforms, sandy beach ... Everything is available for young and old. A restaurant on site ensures the supply. Definitely worth a visit.

Very beautiful, idyllic forest pool. We love coming here.
Worth a visit in any weather. We were in the forest pool in bright sunshine. Thanks to the many trees, it's always easy to find a nice shady spot and then feel comfortable in the water. We will definitely be back. www.ferienpark-waldbad-bernsdorf.de
