The campground is well-organized and well-equipped. The restrooms are very clean. The service center has everything you need, from kettles and induction cooktops to microwaves, plenty of washing machines, and dryers... The staff are very friendly.

We were there with our trailer. These campsites are right in the middle of the dunes. Even by bike, the sites are difficult to reach. Nothing is leveled or paved. The trailer was practically buried in the sand. Fresh water and wastewater can only be collected or disposed of at the washhouse, so there’s a lot of hauling to do. The sites are in direct sunlight. There’s no shade from morning to night. In good summer weather, the sand gets so hot that you can’t walk on it barefoot. For our dog, it was really borderline. In the washhouse, I was initially put off by the painted toilet seats. I’ve only ever seen that in southern France. As a rule, you have to leave the site by 10 a.m. at the latest. If the ferry leaves later, you have to find a place to park your trailer on the island. There’s no way to kill some time at the site itself.
Great for nature lovers
It was really nice on Amrum, but we're used to a little more comfort. You really have to be a true nature lover—and, above all, in good shape. Next time, we'd prefer a vacation rental.

The standard pitches are large enough and very centrally located. The sanitary facilities are clean and, in my opinion, adequate. There are facilities for using the barbecue, hotplates and fridges (hotplates for a fee). (The supermarket is well stocked and has bread rolls for breakfast. The restaurant on site can be done once but the prices are quite high so you should also grill something 😉. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all... the place is good and recommended. ... is also the only one on Amrum 🤭 Amrum is great for camping with a motorhome or tent.

Someone always has something to complain about, but we are a bit more relaxed and don't always look for faults. But what we didn't find so nice has nothing to do with the campsite. But it's still a shame. You pay for the guest card and don't even get a discounted bus ride. 3 per person to Norddorf per journey is a bit of a shame.

We were very satisfied and would love to come back.
In the vacation season there is certainly a lot going on here but in the off-season. still nice and quiet.

It is a large space in the dunes with lots of niches and a large communal area with great guests and dedicated staff.

A dream place
This is a place for everyone!
There are comfortable armchairs, long tables, herb beds, playground, beach chairs, table tennis table, table football, barbecue, dog kennels, good restaurant, small store with everything you need and a very nice team.
Everything is cleaned properly here, everything is maintained,... questions are answered nicely and you will also be helped in an emergency during storms!!!
People laugh, chill, talk and somehow everything is good here ☀️

Great island - varied and quiet
If you are looking for peace and quiet, like nature and want to protect it, you will find a fantastic location here with dunes, sun and sand. Wooden plank paths lead through a varied nature reserve to the sea, to Wittdün or to the lighthouse. There are plenty of bag dispensers and garbage cans for dog... owners.
The campsite has an open atmosphere and thanks to the many tents, the kitchen and dining areas are a hive of activity.
The sanitary areas are currently being renovated and extended. Here, too, I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and availability.

Dünencamping Amrum: highly recommended
If you like the North Sea and life on the islands, you will find a uniquely located campsite with good facilities and friendly staff. Wittdün town center approx. 2 km away, spa facilities nearby. Bringing or renting bicycles is recommended.

Better to come outside the high season; it's quieter then.

The site is beautifully designed: Tents directly in the dunes, wooden terraces for setting up roof tents, plank paths to the beach, very clean, new sanitary facilities, covered dining area with wild vine beautifully overgrown Offer: very good restaurant on site (be sure to book in advance BEFORE arrival), orders for tables in the "beer garden" possible with QR code + Paypal/credit card ... everything very uncomplicated Audience: everything from children to Swabian pensioners, from Rastas to Blankenese, from hetero to *, .... just "live and let live" Organization: super well organized from information before arrival, contact persons on site to departure

The lighthouse will be undergoing maintenance until the end of August 2023, so Wi-Fi will be poorly available on the site until then. But ok at the reception and the "beer garden"

A clean and well-structured campsite. Great facilities for children. The kiosk has everything you need at fair prices. Restaurant also recommended. The offer from 8-11am coffee, hot chocolate etc for 1€ is simply mega.
Negativa
The fridges were simply too full. There were simply too few.

We were here for the 2nd time and would love to come back.
Amrum is always worth an experience.

The staff were always super friendly. You could tell they were having fun and were a great team. The restaurant is recommendable and the kiosk is very well stocked, also with many regional products. The sanitary facilities were always amazingly clean. We also liked the music program in the piazza on Tuesday.

We had a wonderful time on Amrum / Dünencamp !

The place is very nice, very quiet and in the middle of nature (dunes).
We totally miss the seagulls, not to mention the dunes and the beautiful beach.

Campsite with good infrastructure
The only campsite on Amrum (except for nudists), good infrastructure, due to the dunes there is a lot of sand in the general buildings.
The gray water outlet is very narrow for larger motorhomes.

I think €6 per dog is too high. (this does not require sanitary facilities, etc.) 2 € for water and dog bags I would find fair

The campsite is beautifully situated in the dunes.

All places on the island are within easy reach.

There is a great little path leading to a beach that is so big that you are almost on your own.

The campsite's own kiosk has a good range of food and toiletries at fair prices!

The sanitary facilities are in good condition and are cleaned regularly throughout the day.

In general, everyone is very nice and helpful.

It is a fantastic campsite in the dunes for a family vacation with children. The site has a very good infrastructure, even for the little ones, and a good selection of food in the farm store for breakfast and other meals.
You can also hire bicycles here.
If you have a problem, you can talk to the staff on site and they will find a solution.

3 weeks super vacation on Amrum
As always, the campsite is clean and in very good condition. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The restaurant has very good food and very good service. The small store fits in seamlessly with this standard.
Of course we were lucky with 3 weeks of sunshine and not too much heat, so our dachshund also enjoyed it.
My conclusion: We have already booked for 2024.
