"in den Dünen direkt am Meer - Standplätze mit Meerblick in den Dünen oberhalb des Strandes, teilweise sandig, teilweise felsig. Sehr freundlicher Betreiber. Stellplätze naturbelassen, nicht parzelliert, weitläufig, groß und gut zu befahren. Sanitäre Anlagen sauber, einfach, in einer großen Halle, nach oben offen und mit klassischer Musik. Nicht heizbar (wir waren im Oktober hier). Keine Entsorgung von Chemietoiletten!

"Karibik-Feeling in Irland - Wunderschön gelegener Platz in einem hügeligen Gelände direkt am Meer, mit geschätzt 50 wild verteilten Stellplätzen, i.d.R. mit Meerblick. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt (u.a. auf Deutsch!) und bekamen einen passenden Platz zugewiesen, was uns in diesem Fall sehr recht war. Vor den CP liegt ein traumhafter Sandstrand (siehe Fotos) den wir in Irland so nicht vermutet hätten. Wie der Namenszusatz "Eco" andeutet, wird Wert auf Umweltverträglichkeit gelegt. Der gesamte Grund ist weitgehend naturbelassen. WC-Kassetten mit Chemiezusatz können nicht entleert werden und Plastikflaschen dürfen hier nicht entsorgt werden. Vom Platz aus kann zur geschichtsträchtigen Omey Insel gewandert werden. Die Wegbeschreibung gibt's an der Rezeption und die unverzichtbare Tidentabelle hängt in der Küche. Ebenfalls in der Küche steht Kaffee und Tee zu freien Verfügung, die Milch dazu steht im Kühlschrank (Fütterung der Spendenbox nicht vergessen). Ende Mai haben wir für ein Wohnmobil mit 2 Pers. und Stromanschluss 25€ bezahlt. (Unsere Hunde waren gratis) Die Toiletten und Duschen sind unisex. Duschen kostet 1€. WLAN ist kostenlos, aber nur nahe der Rezeption empfangbar. Nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist "Sweeney's Strand Bar, Shop, and Post Office" in Claddaghduff (3 km nördlich) oder in Clifden (11 km). Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.

"Traumbucht - Campingplatz liegt an einer wunderschönen Bucht mit viel Sandstrand. Gepflegte und saubere Anlage. Sehr gutes Trinkwasser. Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ca. 10 km bis Clifden. Guter Standplatz für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Als verbesserungswürdig währe zu erwähnen. a. die Zufahrt gleicht einer Buckelpiste b. 4 Toiletten und Duschen sind absolut zu wenig. c. Steckdosen für Föhn und Rasierapparat im Sanitärbereich wäre wünschenswert. d.die ständige Musik in der Anlage ist so fröhlich wie eine Beerdigung

" - Accueil très sympathique, cadre très agréable pour tentes, c-cars ou caravanes. Les sanitaires sont très propres, mais pas totalement en service lors de notre passage (complément en travaux de peinture), ce qui ne pose pas de problème pour un petit nombre de campeurs. A noter : eau réellement potable, ce n'est pas le cas partout!
