Good starting point to walk E8 in combination with bike (or car) and bus. A bus goes from Hainburg to Bratislava.
The visit to the Carnnuntum also seems very worthwhile, but that... did not fit into our program. Too bad the adjacent Gasthof is only open at noon. You can get a nice cold beer from the vending machine, though.
The location on the railroad and the access route for the through road causes some nuisance in the early morning.
