We had everything we needed for our short stay. A lake to walk around, a fire pit right there and a charming mud playground and a large playground at the front entrance.
Nice staff, helpful "neighbors".

M. W.říjen 20244.0M. W.říjen 2024PozitivaVery friendly hosts, spacious, simple but clean sanitary facilities. All toilet cubicles with disinfectant and wall hooks. Beautiful little lake with circular hiking trail. Dog-friendly. Various play facilities for children, good internet for teenagers. Very friendly staff in the restaurant, there are schnitzels of all kinds, we were happy not to have to cook after the long drive and were very satisfied with the service and the food. We can recommend the campsite and restaurant.

We had the misfortune to be on a very shady pitch.
Wash houses are good.
Good starting point for a visit to Papenburg.
Restaurant doesn't have much choice, all kinds of schnitzel.
However, we were lucky enough to be offered self-marinated skewers, the schnitzel was also delicious. Barbara N.květen 20244.0Barbara N.květen 2024PozitivaFriendliness Accommodation in the FehnkateNegativa-Sweet FehnkateWe stayed at the campsite for 1 night during a cycling trip and were able to rent the Fehnkate.
It is located directly on the lake, a little away from the caravan pitches, very idyllic.
The Fehnkate is for 2 people, has 2 beds and a mini kitchen with a kettle, some crockery and a fridge. There are also... 2 chairs and a small table so that you can also sit outside.
Bed linen can be borrowed.
For shower / WC, cooking... you use the facilities on the campsite.
We enjoyed it!Automaticky přeloženo.Žádní kempaři neoznačili toto hodnocení jako užitečné. - 4.0BHBernhard H.září 20194.0BHBernhard H.září 2019NegativaNo bread rolls on site, bakery approx. 500/600m away, possibly drive in the rain (bad)Friendly campsiteHave visited the campsite to visit the Meyer shipyard, the campsite and sanitary facilities are clean and tidy, the people are nice and friendly, many places without satellite reception, which is not so nice in the fall months if you want to stay longer. Papenburg is also easy to reach by bike about 4 km and is a beautiful city.
- 3.0DGDirk G.červen 20193.0DGDirk G.červen 2019PozitivaLocationNegativaUnfortunately not ready yetA place with potentialWe were there over Whitsun and I have to say that the site is currently undergoing some changes. The revised part of the site is to be for permanent campers in the future and the remaining part is to be redesigned. If the path taken so far is followed consistently, it will be a site with potential. Unfortunately,... there is currently not even a small kiosk for daily needs. The playground is poorly equipped. The town of Papenburg has a lot to offer cyclists. On the whole, okay if the demands are not too high.
- 4.0ARAnne R.červen 20194.0ARAnne R.červen 2019Pozitivaquiet, ideal for dog owners, idyllic, center easily accessible by bikeNegativaSupply and disposal for mobiles not (yet) availableIdyllically quiet and friendly staffStayed for one night to visit the Meyer Werft shipyard on the motorhome pitch at the gates of the campsite. The approx. 10 pitches are at ground level, spacious, with electricity columns, a concrete lane and a lawn "front garden". Registration was straightforward with the friendly receptionist. We think... 10 euros for 2 people plus a dog is a reasonable price. The campsite itself has beautiful trees and a clean little lake which is great for swimming. A beach with fine, light-colored sand and a sunbathing lawn is currently being built on the lake. Sufficient sanitary facilities and clean. Approx. 80% permanent campers, the rest tourists like us. The playground consists of an old swing and a kind of trampoline cushion. There is still room for improvement here. A disposal/supply station seems to be under construction in front of the reception. Fortunately, we didn't have to dispose of anything. Glass containers in the parking lot, a waste disposal point in the parking lot for the mobilists would be desirable. Conclusion: We would visit the site again at any time, as you can see that the operator is in the process of eliminating "weak points" and providing a good infrastructure.

W.březen 2019PozitivaNear city center / Meyer Werft / modernization in progressNegativano WLan, muddy paths because still under construction and soft ground plots.City campsite in transitionThe site is about 3.5 km from the city center, by bike you are "in the middle" in 15 minutes. Currently (March 2019) excavation work and redesign of the pitches, unfortunately currently a lot of dirt, the pitches are also filled with topsoil, which becomes soft and muddy when it rains. Sanitary facilities... quite clean, spacious showers with changing facilities in the cabin. Individual washbasins. Restaurant and playground at the entrance. Motorhome pitches in front of the barrier. No store, no bread rolls, but the nearest Netto and bakery are only about 500 meters away. Nice staff but annoying permanent campers, forest path next door for dog owners. Good place for the weekend with a visit to the Meyer shipyard. - 4.0
Michael - S.září 20184.0Michael - S.září 2018PozitivaUncomplicated registration, friendliness, good price-performance ratioNegativaOutside office hours, an information board would be greatWith WoMo to the Meyer shipyardWe were at the Meyer shipyard and stayed there too long to continue our journey and then arrived here. We got a parking space in front of the gate - after a tip from other guests. The next morning we were able to register with the extremely friendly staff. Everything went without a hitch, even though... we had just settled down the evening before without booking in advance. Simply great for our purposes. Everything unbureaucratic (see above).NegativaNone for me!Spontaneous request - unbureaucratic receptionI arrived there after 20:00 for an overnight stay. I asked politely in the pub, received a very nice welcome and was told to choose a place. The next morning I went through the formalities with another very nice member of staff. The receptionist gave me great information about the sightseeing options... and even booked me a guided tour of the Meyer Werft shipyard (I wouldn't have been able to get anything else). I was even allowed to leave the caravan on the site until after the tour. Wanted to visit the Meier shipyard. We decided to try it out due to the new management by the city of Papenburg. Unfortunately not much has changed. Loud and unfriendly permanent campers. Free choice of pitch, just wanted to set up, a camper arrived, I'm a permanent... camper and this is my pitch. We then took the pitch next to it without any discussion. There is still room for improvement in the organization here. The sanitary facilities are fine, but the pitch was only sparsely occupied. The site is still being renovated. The restaurant is small but nice. The menu is not particularly large. But the food is good.
