Caravan Camping
The loud shooting exercises at the military training area last Wednesday were very annoying. Our trailer was shaking, and our dog wouldn’t calm down. So we drove home around 10:00 p.m. and returned the next morning. On top of that, there was construction work on the canal, though we understood why it was happening. It was a lot of stress for each of the three days we were there.

Hüttensee Campground
What we really liked was the hassle-free check-in; since everything had already been provided in advance, we were able to drive straight to our campsite and leave again without having to put up with long wait times. Water and electricity were available right at the campsite, so we didn’t have to go get... water with a watering can first.The restrooms were clean and tidy, and the showers were free to use at any time. Even my tablet worked.Our little dog was able to roam freely in the dog area and made friends with Rocky (a dog) from Bavaria. Things are a bit more expensive at the kiosk, but at least you don’t have to hop in the car and drive kilometers just to buy a liter of milk.We liked it so much that we booked our next vacation for September right there on the spot—we’re already looking forward to it.

A perfect campground with excellent service
We spent two weeks at Campingpark Hüttensee. Everything was perfect. We’d especially like to thank Verena, the assistant manager, for her quick help when our bike broke down. We’ll definitely be back.

A very nice place
We really liked the campground. It was very quiet during our stay. The restroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. There’s plenty of water on the grounds— small streams and a beautifully landscaped swimming area—which, much to our regret, we weren’t allowed to use with our dog. The dog park... is actually very nice, but it could use a little maintenance. Unfortunately, the bench for dog owners was unusable because it was broken. The swimming area for dogs is very small, but at least there is one. In my opinion, the surface in the dog park isn’t ideal, as I see a risk of injury there.

Beautiful campground, clean restrooms, great swimming lake, quiet location, the nearest major shopping area is in Winsen an der Aller, with nice bike paths leading there. The reception staff is courteous and very friendly.

Making the reservation (online) was very easy. Finding the campsite wasn't easy for us, though. A few signs wouldn't hurt. The operators were very friendly. The site was very well chosen by the operator. However, I do have one complaint. If there’s a fee for dogs, you’d expect dog waste bags to always... be available. The campground was very well-maintained, and the restrooms were cleaned twice a day. There were plenty of things to do (weather permitting), whether it was hiking or biking. All in all, a campground worth recommending. We stayed there for 4 nights.

The Perfect Vacation
Even the trip there was perfect. No long wait at the gate. We drove straight to our site since we’d received our number in advance. The site had perfect water, electricity, and sewage hookups. A very good restaurant with self-service, right on the swimming lake. Plenty of activities for all ages. Even the dogs have their own off-leash area and shower. So everything was perfect.

Great location, cleanliness: 6 minus
The campground’s location is beautiful and worth recommending for that reason alone. Unfortunately, the restroom facilities were very dirty during our stay, and there was an unpleasant smell of urine in the showers. This significantly detracts from the overall impression and would lead us to use the campground in the future only for short stays or when passing through—situations where we don’t need to use the restrooms.

The campground is beautifully laid out and very clean.
The staff is nice and friendly.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet, despite all the dogs.
There is one thing to complain about, though: the campground restaurant.
When I order food, it should be hot—especially since they give you a pager—but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Perfect
Everything was just right! For us, the dog park was simply perfect. Our Heidi had a great time playing.
The place is super clean, the staff is friendly, and you feel right at home.

We’ll definitely be back—probably in just under two months. This time with my husband, who’s going to try out the fishing ponds.

We had mainly booked it as a fishing trip. Fishing at the “Teichblick” campsite isn’t possible if the two spots next to it are also occupied. One is to the side, one is right next to it—you can’t cast your line. Price for a fishing permit: 23.50 euros…….
The restaurant is a disaster. The food is greasy, and it smells musty inside.
The locking system on both the doors and the gate often doesn’t work.

We were very pleasantly surprised! Great place, quiet, beautifully located, and absolutely family-friendly! Our kids are already grown up, but it’s wonderful for kids.

Short Stay at the Giraffe Hut
We had a very pleasant and peaceful stay.
The Giraffenhütte is cozy and lovingly decorated; even though it’s right next to the playground, it was very quiet and relaxing. The restrooms were always clean and tidy. The grounds were well-maintained and clean. We ate at the Seehütte on two evenings—delicious... schnitzel, burgers, and currywurst.
You can take a leisurely stroll around the campground or go for a walk in the adjacent nature reserve. Fresh rolls were available in the morning, and if you forgot anything, you could get the essentials at the kiosk. We’ll be back.

Unfortunately, I'm not satisfied
We found the bathroom facilities in the container to be very inadequate. In addition, the grass on our site was too long and could have been mowed before our arrival.

It’s actually a nice, kid-friendly place, but unfortunately it’s way too expensive. We booked a family site where rainwater doesn’t drain away, so everything stays wet all the time. In the restrooms, they’d just filled out the cleaning schedule, but the restrooms were still very dirty.
It’s a place you could visit for a weekend, but not for any longer than that.

Those were good times

So beautiful!
We’ve been going to Hüttensee for almost 40 years, even with large groups and our dog. It’s fantastic there. It’s a little paradise for the kids.
The RV sites and cabins are great and have everything you could want. Everything is excellent.
We come back every year and look forward to our wonderful time there.

Great for fishing, swimming, and unwinding
Dog-friendly and well-equipped!

I spent three nights at Campingpark Hüttensee, on a “Pond View” pitch. For me, it was just the right mix of nature, tranquility, great amenities, and that feeling: here, you can really unwind.

What impressed me the most were the amenities for dogs. The campground isn’t just dog-friendly—it really gets... it. There are tons of amenities for dogs, even a dog shower. The dog park is covered in wood chips, giving it a pleasantly cool atmosphere. It was perfect, especially with my two dogs. They could run around, sniff around, cool off, and just relax and be dogs.

The small canals that wind through the grounds also make the place special. They create a lovely atmosphere and provide some extra cooling. With dogs, that’s worth its weight in gold, of course.

The dog pond could perhaps be a bit larger and sandier so the dogs don’t get quite as muddy after swimming. But honestly: that’s complaining on a very high level.

The “Pond View” campsite was a perfect fit for me, especially because of the fishing. Sitting right at the pond-view fishing spot and fishing there is a pretty unique experience. That really makes the stay special.

And when the fishing is this good, you even forget about unpleasant neighbors relatively quickly.

Even aside from the dog and the fishing spot, the campground is well-equipped. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good, with decent speed and coverage reaching every corner. That’s anything but a given at campgrounds.

The mini-market is well-stocked and convenient if you need anything on-site. The campground is also highly recommended for families: the play and swimming areas are truly fantastic and make the campground very appealing for children as well.

For me, Campingpark Hüttensee was the perfect spot for a few relaxing days with my two dogs. Lots of nature, plenty of well-designed dog facilities, water everywhere, a special fishing spot, good Wi-Fi, a decent mini-market, and great options for families.

I’d love to come back.

Rest + relaxation
We booked online and received all the necessary information in advance. This meant we could go straight to our pre-booked pitch without having to queue. The site is super beautiful. Especially the lake. One wash house is a bit older, but always clean. No matter what time we went to the toilets. Always spotlessly clean. We were thrilled all round and would love to come back.

Well, there's always room for us
We found it a pity that there was no shade at all on the pitch. Rather bad with dogs. The inadequate entrances and exits from the site are also to be criticized. Always via the main entrance or the turnstile (oneway) is not enough. And the battle noise is not good for relaxation.

Beautiful place
The place is nice, unfortunately the number of toilets in the 7 area is definitely too few (there were queues in the morning). The cleaning took forever. Unfortunately, we also missed the kiosk? The prices in the restaurant are not good at all. Paid €13 for 2 soft ice creams.....

Great place, great leisure facilities and everything is very well maintained. The prices in the store are very high, you might want to check. The sanitary facilities are a bit small for the number of pitches.

All in all, however, a great place with lots of opportunities for kids! We were very satisfied!

Very good place
It was a very nice vacation for me and my family. The children were kept busy all day. The only negative point we could find were all the e-scooters that were on the site. These things are no longer allowed on other campsites - that would be something I would wish for on a new visit, that these e-vehicles are no longer allowed.

Large campsite with a very good vacation feeling.
Very uncomplicated arrival and departure. Great with the license plate recognition. The campsite is very large and was always tidy, even though it was fully booked. Very clean and pleasantly warm sanitary blocks. Free hot showers, great. The pitches are generously sized. Lots of things to do on the campsite. It was great. We are very happy to recommend Hüttensee to our friends.
