"Very nice place, well maintained, clean sanitary facilities, unfortunately very noisy - Everything nice and well-kept. Nice staff. Unfortunately very, very loud even in the off-season due to animation in neighboring areas. Very disturbing and late into the night. Will not visit the campsite again for this reason.

"Over the bay of Lacona - Very nice campsite on a slope. The terracing means you always have a clear view over the bay. The pitches vary in quality and size, mostly with earth or gravel. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained (if you speak a few words of Italian, the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful). There is also a small store on the campsite. In the low season with a small assortment. However, they are happy to provide additional items on request. The staff at the reception were friendly and helped us to plan excursions. We liked the Capitano restaurant on the campsite. There are several other restaurants/pizzerias along the beach (direct access from the campsite). There are also a number of leisure activities in the surrounding area (hiking, cycling/mountain biking, diving, sailing). The public bus to Portoferaio has a rather sparse timetable (at least in the low season).

"Natural space above the sea - A very beautiful site on a headland directly on the coast (not) a good starting point for excursions around Elba. The site offers various options for pitches. We had one. Space for the tent at the back of the site. Direct view of the sea. Further forward there were plenty of pitches for caravans and motorhomes. Direct access to the beach on 2 sides. The rear access leads to a small not which is only used by the campsite. Small store and small restaurant on the site. For children there is a playground, children's entertainment and a pool. We would love to come back. The access to the site is a bit narrow and well hidden.

"Great time - We have just spent 12 days on vacation here and everything was great. Great pitches with a fantastic view over the whole bay. The place wasn't overcrowded either, but it was clean everywhere, there was always someone in the wash house to clean. Simply a great vacation.

"Exceptional view possible - Some fabulous views, depending on the pitch. Sufficient pitches in size, for larger vehicles should be requested. Approach feasible with 2.5 m width. Path to the sea via steps, but also doable with SUP or even kayak. Larger water sports equipment can also be brought to the sea with a short detour on foot (no problem). Some of the paths on the site are very steep. Cars remain in front of the pitch after unloading. Super bay. Great in the low season, a bit busier during the Whitsun vacations. Probably generally overcrowded in summer.

"Never again Stella Mare :( - Unfortunately, we can't understand the good reviews at all. However, we chose the pitch because of this. The site is at best suitable for small camper vans or tents. The view is wonderful, but that's all. The ground is totally muddy when it rains, the sanitary facilities are from the 1970s, first no hot water for showers, then no cold water. Initially no light in the sanitary facilities etc. Staff not particularly friendly. Except for the cleaning lady. We had to hire a car to see anything at all on the island.
