a good campsite
A beautiful campsite with a large proportion of mobile homes. Most of the guests are surfers and kitesurfers from Poland and Slovakia. The wind usually comes in the afternoon and goes away in the evening. The small store on site is ok. No German is spoken at reception, but everyone is friendly. All in all, recommendable.

The Camp Perna had allthe pitches occupied in August.There weren't a place for even one tent.Here were people who want to windsurf.Sanitary was better than a few years ago.

Regarding the sanitary facilities: Even after four weeks, the same traces of excrement were still stuck to the toilet door of the men's toilet and there were also numerous other traces. Apparently only the floor was wiped or washed and sometimes the worst (but only that) was removed from the toilet seats.... About the site: About 80% shaded under the trees and close to the sea. Nice view of the town of Korcula from the beach. If you are not close to the disco (and there is no yapping dog or screaming child nearby), the campsite is also relatively quiet - practically no street noise: There is a small supermarket next to the reception and a fruit and fish market 6 km away in Orebic, as well as a relatively large consumer market on the outskirts of the village. About the people in July: Poles make up the majority with around 70% and they usually have surfing equipment with them. The rest are mostly Czech citizens and around 4% are Austrians (mostly windsurfers or kitesurfers) and very rarely a German gets lost. What really attracts them: the sheltered and often quiet location, the view from the beach and the sometimes generously sized pitches

At the campsite, at least in September, you can stand very generously - just like in the old days. Unfortunately, this is the only plus point. The sanitary facilities are catastrophic. From September 1st, only 1 washroom was open for the entire campsite, of which of course not even half worked -- i.e.... almost never hot water, free toilets (with working cisterns) etc;.. Anyway, it seemed that the staff were happy that the season was coming to an end. The cleaning staff were very hard-working - but their options were limited. (All the waste water - including some from the toilet - ran onto the floor because the drains were defective, etc., etc.) Furthermore, it was very loud from Friday to Sunday because organized parties were held there until 05.00 am. Our campsite neighbors also complained. We were told by reception that the police would have to be called as there was no staff present at this time. So in the end, never again Camping Perna

We arrived on the evening of 09.06.2010 on CP Perna.the communication in German was not possible, English only moderately.the well-kept condition of the reception (hotel character) stood in stark contrast to the condition of the place.lamps defective, E-boxes defective, (ours fell off after opening the... door!) Telephone box defective, overturned curbs under unmown grass, huge puddles on the access roads, car wrecks and rotting trailers in the undergrowth (allegedly from the previous year), no water points except at the wash house, there clogged urinals and showers, no restaurant or konoba, self-service store outside the square, no contact person except the owner of a snack bar which he renovated and said we could go back home because here you are not in Germany!The whole place is still in the socialist slumber of the 80's. Even the surfboard rental and fine gravel beach can't disguise this, and the Czech youths camping in the tent city there were particularly annoying. Just behind "Perna" there are a number of small, beautiful and well-kept sites such as "Palme", "Antony Boy" and "Camping Ponta", which we visited the next morning. These sites can be recommended. The award of 4 stars from the camper Mr. Bernhard Ebbing in 2006, could not be confirmed or even transferred to the place during our visit in 2010!!!
