Shady, friendly, great beach. No pool, no frippery, no exuberant entertainment events

We don't remember anything so negative that we wouldn't visit the place again...
Familiar, Italian, quiet
Italian? Of course the place is in Italy. But unfortunately there are too many places in Italy where you don't feel like you're in Italy...
Here you are in southern Italy, and you can feel it. Few Germans or Dutch people travel this far down, which means that it's mainly Italians who camp on the site... - sometimes all summer long. They prepare dinner at lunchtime, chat for a long time while washing up and take their time.
We like that, it feels like a vacation.

Most of the places are well shaded, either by the pine trees or by high mats. You are immediately on the beach, where there is no infrastructure (on this stretch of beach) - so no rows of sun loungers and annoying noise.
There is a small store with a good range of everyday essentials and you can pre-order meat for the next day.
There is a bar and a restaurant, although we didn't visit the latter. We are unable to judge what is served there and of what quality.

Everything (including the sanitary facilities) is not brand new and shiny, but clean and functional. The staff are very polite and helpful.

Unfortunately, the campsite closes early in the year, 2021 was over on September 12.
