no pitches, extensive forest area, great forest floor for camping (no sand) - not far from the through road N 94 to Susa, yet very quiet location - restaurant was open, good food, friendly staff

Camping in a coniferous forest next to a small lake
We used the campsite as a stopover and stayed one night. The sanitary facilities were functional and in good, clean condition for a municipal campsite; the restaurant (about 25 seats inside) is open all year round and offered some typical French dishes of very good quality, the service and check-in were... friendly and courteous in English. We paid in the evening and got off the site first thing in the morning thanks to the number code on the barrier.
The area certainly offers more leisure activities - we wanted to go further south - also because it was cold at night.
