"Negative experience - Unfortunately I can't understand why this campsite got 3 stars Maybe it was worth it years ago. Is this not checked at annual intervals? Hardly... What a pity It is not 20 meters to the beach as described in the camping guide, distance from the entrance area 80 meters.... from the end of the campsite 500 meters

"Our visit to Camping Montpellier Plage - As a German family vacationer, it just sucks. We chose this campsite as a stopover on the way to Barcelona. I don't know how this campsite got a 3.9 star rating. It started with a 1 hour wait at reception. The usher didn't speak a word of English. Only French. There is no site map. The place is absolutely overcrowded. The toilet facilities are old and dirty. The showers were unhygienic, non-functional and simply disgusting. I just felt sick when I saw various things left behind in the shower cubicles. And I'm supposed to send my children to shower here? The only thing that was neutral here was the parking space. The lady at reception just said have fun in Spain when we checked out. Everything is better than being here. We also experienced the inflexibility and arrogance often mentioned when changing/canceling a reservation. The original travel plans included another stopover on the return journey from Spain. However, as we now had a picture of the campsite and it was hopelessly overcrowded and dirty, I decided to cancel the reservation. This was confirmed to me by e-mail, but the deposit of 45 € (30 € reservation fee/handling fee & 15 € deposit) is gone. we should have taken out a "cancellation insurance". Cheeky ! For people who know French and can accept the circumstances OK, but for us it was a nightmare.

"Never again - Booked this holiday for our family never again. Looked at the reviews and pictures and seemed ok until we arrived. We took out the insurance cancellation (not worth the paper it’s written on) just in case our holiday got cancelled. We pitched our tent and that’s where it went wrong. Toilet block was a disgrace no barbecues allowed, rude staff. Entertainment was poor no social distancing what so ever. Crammed into a tent. My daughter took Ill back at home so had to leave early. We went to see them at reception to get a refund. They made us fill out all these forms and give proof of reason for leaving and said leave it with us. We came home only to find they refused to give us our money back. But I looking back had a lucky escape. Would never go back there again dive.

"Beautiful campsite with a real camper feeling - We stayed at Camping Montepellier Plage for 5 nights on our return trip to Spain. Relatively few guests at the end of the season. Free choice of pitches - due to the size of our caravan we were able to occupy two pitches, but only had to pay for one. Small children's pool on site, beach (no dogs allowed) 100 meters away. Official dog beach about 10 minutes away by car. Bakery and bistro with very tasty food on site. A total of 7 sanitary buildings ranging from old to relatively new and varying in overall impression - cleaned several times a day, just as often guests have contributed to changing the situation. Site staff very friendly across the board. Great surroundings. For those who like "real" camping: recommendation

" - Prices high season: car, tent/caravan 1-2 pers 26.60€ additional person3.60€ high season: 30.00€ and 4.00€ The campsite is not too big, the pitches are the same, it doesn't matter what is set up on them. guests pay 2€ the night additional tent I think 4€ additional car3€.not so close that you step on your feet.there are rental caravans in 3 sizes up to 8 people from 550€ dei week. The sanitary facilities are more than ample, with approx. 30 showers, approx. 20 toilets, 10 sinks, basins for washing clothes, 2 chemical toilet sinks, approx. 40 open and closed washing cubicles, and there is no congestion even when fully occupied. The sanitary facilities are cleaned 3 times a day, the only thing that takes some getting used to is that the toilets are right next to the sinks, a large old barn without partitions. A washing machine is available, the use including detergent costs 5€, NO dryer, which you don't need anyway in summer at least.small but very nice pool. Security service (very friendly and always on the move at night), mini store, cafe at the campsite where there is a small meal and from time to time paella food and the like with live music. There are small stores in the area, for a normal supermarket you have to drive a bit. The beach access is just across the road, it is clean, of course there are pigs everywhere. The garbage is emptied daily at the campsites and on the beach. So, we found the place good, the children 10 and 12 were able to scurry back and forth between the pool and the beach all day and were not bored for a minute. The place is quiet and clean, the audience completely mixed and very friendly, pleasant, there are plenty of leisure activities in the area from wind kitesurfing, boat rental........ in the area grottos, monasteries, castles...... Have fun and good rest J.S.

" - 3-star campsite, but not as good as a one-star campsite. New low-cost mobile homes with a poor quality feel. Poor soundproofing, hot and noisy neighbors. A very bad memory for this campsite.
