"Quiet campsite on the outskirts of the village - To get there, it is advisable not to follow the navigation system in the village itself, but to follow the signs "Lathener Marsch". Otherwise it could get narrow in the residential streets. The signposting is exemplary. The site itself is not that big and is dominated by permanent/seasonal campers. The tourist pitches are generously sized. Caravan, awning, car - everything on the pitch is no problem. The camper van site is located next to the campsite along the two lakes. However, some of the mobile homes are lined up like chickens on a rack. Without much free space next to the mobile. The range of goods in the kiosk is rather rudimentary. Coffee, drinks, shampoo, shower gel and a few other small items. But not much choice. There are 3 different types of bread rolls. Fresh and tasty every morning. The barrier is operated via a card - deposit 25 €. This works, but is annoying. You can get a chip for the sanitary block for a €2 deposit. Now to the leisure lake. I wouldn't call it that. There is no bathing area with a sunbathing lawn, the bathing jetty is rotten and covered in goose droppings at the end. It is closed off with white cords. The slide cannot be used because there is no ladder. There is also no "exit" next to the slide to get back out of the lake. But there are many, many frogs that sing their song in the evening. You can hear the church bells due to the proximity to the village, but they don't disturb you. The mini golf course is not very attractive and the youth room is in a small hut by the lake with a table football table inside. Nothing more. Conclusion. A place for socializing with the permanent/seasonal campers, for those seeking peace and quiet, for cycling along the Ems. The leisure lake must be much more attractive for the summer.

"Nice place to relax - Beautifully situated campsite. We arrived spontaneously with our dog in the motorhome. Nice people and feel good.

"Anne - Have traveled with caravan and have spent 13 nights there on CP . Worth mentioning: Sanitary building - new and spacious , Place quiet and with old trees (oaks) but therefore a little limitation with TV reception . Good network of cycle paths . but all in all it was a nice vacation there . We will definitely go there again

"We were there from 27.04. Fr. - Die. 01.05.18, worth it just because of the - good food in the adjoining hotel restaurant. The campsite is also ok, we were given pitch no. 21 by the manager, as our 6 friends were staying at the hotel. With our 6 bicycles we made trips to Haren and Dörpen, then the weather turned bad and we visited the fortress of Bourtange/NL by car.

"Clean simple place - Bread rolls and newspapers available. Large clean sanitary facilities, but to open with a key (annoying). Many permanent campers at the back. Good starting point for cycling along the Ems. Many well signposted cycle paths in the area.

"Well, value for money isn't everything - The place itself is very nice. The groundskeeper a nice quiet guy, the boss hmm there I join others. The fishing pond nice and empty. Sanitary facility built without depth, when showering my wife freezes through the high ceilings and toilet noises and smells while showering are bah. Cleanliness also needs to be improved . the permanent campers are very nice and helpful .
