The Pond

The sites are spacious, and we received a very warm welcome. The setting is pleasant and very natural, but there are also some nice, modern amenities (like the pool). The one-star deduction for cleanliness is due more to guests’ lack of consideration—unfortunately—than to the cleaning itself; the restrooms are thoroughly cleaned every day.

A campground in a unique location. Very spacious sites and far from through traffic. At night, the owls take over and silence reigns. Kids won’t get bored here. There’s a new playground, a swimming pool, and a youth center. Plus, the campground is so spacious that kids will always find a spot to play without disturbing the other guests. Hikers and cyclists will undoubtedly find something to their liking in the green surroundings. The new owners are working hard on renovations and are always ready to assist their guests.

Very clean bathrooms and our plot was shaded and secluded.

Lots of light at night (spotlights shining directly on the plots), swimming pool with lots of screaming children and toys, many plots with no shade and very few bushes. The plots are very open and very visible; in general, you have very little privacy.

It was a super nice vacation, we are The children had a great time and were constantly playing with other children, and when we asked them if we were going to do something they did not want to do it, they wanted to stay on the campsite.

The greenery, the peace and simplicity of the owners, the large swimming pool, the lake, the restaurant! You name it!

It is beautiful, the campsite is spacious, lots of greenery and more than enough shade. A nice terrace and Willem and Kim do everything they can to make sure their guests have a good time. Willem helped us tremendously when the car stopped working!

Beautiful area with beautiful lakes nearby. It can be very hot during the day, but cools down considerably in the evening/night. Swimming pool at the campground is fine for cooling off.

Plumbing has considerable overdue maintenance and is also not always clean. Terrace is messy and tables are in need of replacement. Like some of the chairs by the pool. Food is mediocre, especially considering what you pay for it. 'Swimming lake' is puddle that stinks and lots of weeds and little beach. Really different than website suggests. Sewage smell around toilet building.

Little lake/swimming pool options. Beautiful setting surrounded by nature. We went with 3 other families - Kim and Willem arranged for us to stay on next-door pitches. Kim and Willem were friendly, very helpful when required, hands off at other times.
