"Beautiful campsite behind the dunes - Beautiful campsite directly behind the dunes. You can walk to a great beach in a few minutes, ideal for dogs too. The ladies at reception were always very friendly and helpful. You can buy fresh bread rolls in the supermarket in the morning, but the village of Vroudenpolder is also within easy reach where you can go out for a delicious meal and do some shopping. The large wash house is a bit older but fine for us and always top clean.

"Never again Roompot! - 1. receptionists unfriendly with requests. 2nd restaurant: complained about one of four beers... Answer: "That's not possible!" Then one of eight pizzas so burnt that it tasted like coal.... Answer. "That's the way it has to be!" 3. bouncy castles on asphalt with drempels without fall protection. I counted 6 injured children in the first 30 minutes!!! 2 of them were mine. My 9 year old daughter came into the restaurant bleeding. None of the staff (the receptionist was "Daniela") even asked if our daughter needed help! The injury to her foot is still there, so she can't go into the water. My 5 year old son has a bruised rib from falling on a jamb. See photo. When I got the car to pick up my daughter, several crying injured children, some by strangers, were carried to their parents on the pitch! 4. on departure, a waste disposal vehicle blocked the exit. Sitting in the car, I was shouted at to drive past. I refused with a hand signal because it was too narrow. When I got out to take photos, the driver of the truck came up to me and shouted at me with the words "You don't have a driver's license, you asshole!". He then immediately banged his stomach against mine. Only when I pushed him back and threatened him with the police did he let go, but continued shouting in Dutch. There is a video of this. The head of the police station "Daniela" was called in. She showed no interest in the situation and did not intervene! Even my question as to whether it is in the interests of Roompot to treat guests in this way was only answered with a shrug of the shoulders and a terse reference to the fact that this is an external company. Instead of responding to the insult and the physical attack, the tenor was that I hadn't left by 11 a.m. and therefore it was my own fault. It is true that it was already 12 o'clock. But it was natural for me to wait at the exit until the waste disposal truck had cleared the exit. That's not the point. It's about the attempted coercion to take the risk of driving past, the insult and especially the assault (I felt very uncomfortable and threatened and that's enough for the offense of assault)! The site only deserves the one star because of its great location directly on the dunes with no road in between and the free use of the indoor pool at the beach resort. But that's about it. I have been visiting Zeeland for over 30 years. I have also visited the Roompot Beach Resort many times. I have never experienced conditions like those at De Zandput. The treatment of guests in particular is appalling. The condition and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is just an addition. On complaint. Noted. Never again Roompot!

"Ideal for a weekend - We've been to this campsite three times now, each time for a weekend. The larger pitches are really spacious and definitely recommended. The beach is right behind the campsite and you can reach everything else by bike. Managed by Roompot. This means you can easily book online and the access card is sent to you in advance, which means you can go straight to the reserved pitch without having to check in. I think that's brilliant. And yes, the sanitary building is old, but everything is in order and clean. Lots of dogs and it's true, there are apparently no rules and no separate run. They go everywhere. Wi-Fi included in the price and works well.

"Beautifully situated place - The comfort pitches are very large with fresh and waste water. The smaller sanitary building was always spotlessly clean. All in all, a quiet site that offers plenty for the kids. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's at least a 15-minute walk to the beach. But then you end up on a real dream beach. There are many enchanting places in the surrounding area, e.g. Zierikzee, Middelburg, Westkapelle..... The panoramic path from Domburg to Westkapelle is also great for cycling and is ideal for spending the whole day by the water with the camper.

"Couple with dog in camper van - Rarely discovered such a beautiful and clean place. Everything is just right here, the operators and staff are very friendly and helpful. Top sanitary facilities! Environment for cycling very good. Great dog beach and dogs are always very welcome...just please clean up after them so that they stay that way. Great walking paths in the dunes behind the campsite.
