Beautiful campsite, but...........
We had a choice of 2 nearby campsites in Vorden (Linde). Upon arrival at De Bijvanck, my wife immediately said, this is where I want to stay. So beautiful and quiet. We were kindly received by the manager and immediately got a tour and the wifi code from him. The plumbing looked good and spacious showers... were available. We ended up standing about 10 meters away from a seasonal pitch camper with a Hobby caravan. However, the man of this caravan had a hobby of his own. Bullying away possible new campers and ruining the vacation atmosphere of those present. It started immediately on the first day. Some older people were walking around the grounds looking at the campsite. I heard them speak highly of it. Until one of them had the audacity to open a switch box. He was immediately barked at by this man. He had to stay away from it or it might break. And that in a tone of voice that would make no difference. Well, if these people even had the idea to go to this campground, it was over with. No more business. A little later it was our turn. The man told me that he was annoyed that my wife was talking on the phone in front of the caravan. He asked her to do it inside the caravan, since he didn't want to hear this kind of conversation. Otherwise we would have to find another campsite. How sad can you be. Of course we spoke to the manager about the incident. He said that he was aware of his behavior and that he had spoken to the man before. How is it possible that such a rotten apple in the basket of other campers is not indicated to change his behavior and otherwise just leave. He just spoils the vacation of many other campers. Given the manager's reaction, we are not the only ones this has happened to. So you have been warned.
