We had a pavilion with us with a floor that we couldn't attach to the stones because the ground was too stony/hard. We had to slide a bit into the meadow. I had also indicated this when making the reservation by email and at reception when checking in and it was approved; we also saw tents and pavilions with a floor on other pitches and then didn't give it any more thought. 2 days before our departure, an employee came cycling up and told us quite brusquely that this was not allowed because otherwise the grass would turn yellow and that wouldn't be nice for the next pitch. I explained that I had clarified this twice and that there were others on the lawns here too, but he stood firm and I asked him if we could leave it until the day after tomorrow because we were leaving then, to which he grumpily agreed and cycled away. I was left with a very uncomfortable feeling and would have liked to leave straight away. i also got angry because I was transparent and was still reprimanded. we also had no chance to change anything because the ground was too hard to turn a screw into the ground. I certainly don't want to argue on vacation.
Overall, the place was very nice, the Saalach is fantastic. Very nice contact starting from the booking, on arrival, during the entire stay until departure, is always a unique experience.
The whole complex is very organized, clean and well maintained.
The sanitary facilities are also always spotlessly... clean, pleasantly flooded with light, very well ventilated, spacious and bright bathrooms and completely in order. Respect!
The pitches are nicely sized and sensibly structured.
In winter we use the ski bus from the ski room at the campsite to the Loferer Almwelt valley station, and we also like the wellness area, massages and sauna for après-ski.
We are not very spoiled when it comes to food and get by with the restaurant on site, but we also like real Austrian cuisine in the village. Or from our own fire or barbecue.
We love the upper pitches by the river, the peace and quiet without the usual noise and barking, and relaxing with an aperitif or two to the gentle sound of the Saalach.
Everything is actually great, including the electricity and water columns on the pitches.
Only the planning and design of the gray water drains on the V&E columns are not in the spirit of the inventor. Too bad. 4 out of 5 points. What a pity!
Maybe it will be, at some point.

Walks from the campsite with the dogs are available in various lengths. There are also many walks directly from the campsite.

The site is generously laid out with lots of nature, very modern facilities and always clean. There were many short walks for families with children in the surrounding area. The playground was also ideal for a warm day with the shade and the water playground. My wife says maybe consider having some "loaner" bikes on hand for quick trips into town or especially for kids that forgot to bring a bike. So... pretty much we don't have any complaints.We will definitely be returningWe did a little research before we came and this place seemed quite nice from the online impressions and reviews. Our experience exceeded our expectations. We will be returning, for sure. In addition to all the things you can find online (infrastructure, services, etc.), which are all true or better... than described, I would also mention that I found the staff to be noticeably on-point, professional, and friendly. The restaurant was also a surprising highlight, with both the food and service exceeding our expectations.
I'm from the US and my previous camping experience was all in the wilderness, strictly avoiding RV parks. So this was a new experience for me, and I was just pretty well impressed. It's more mixed elsewhere.Evaluation of the campsiteMy stay at the campsite was a complete success. The location in the middle of the impressive Lofer mountains is simply fantastic and offers a perfect backdrop for relaxing days in nature. The very well-kept and clean sanitary facilities, which make your stay even more pleasant, deserve special mention....
The reception was extremely friendly. I was particularly pleased with the personal gesture on the occasion of my birthday - a small bottle of sparkling wine as a gift. Such lovely details make the stay special and show the high service orientation of the team on site.

Large family bathrooms, which can also be rented for the duration of your stay (except in high season).NegativnoThe family bathrooms are self-contained but unfortunately very bright.Excellent place in wonderful surroundingsIn addition to the comment above, I would also like to mention that we were on the river (UF22) and had a rental cabin in sanitary building 1. We cannot provide any information about the other sanitary blocks and pitches.
All pitches are gravelled with a lawn area.
We would also like to emphasize the... possibility of having a massage on site. The masseuse Sonja is great and has eliminated all back problems.
The restaurant on site has a good selection and we enjoyed it.
The small store has a daily bread roll service. You shouldn't expect much more. But that doesn't matter, as MPreis, Billa and Spar are within walking distance in about 15 minutes.

The wash houses are particularly impressiveIt's great that you can check out at the campsite until 12 noon, because taking down the tent can take a while, especially if it's still wet.
I'm a big fan of the wash houses (House 2). Lots of privacy and always clean!

Car drivers use the road on the square as a race track and at some point a child is hit.
