The setting is tranquil and the facilities excellent. stuart and Sheila are very helpful with a wealth of suggestions for visits in the area. The dining and bar are great and it has to be said the food is excellent

* Should ideally be grass tent pitches, not mud. * More staff to support more reasonable bar and restaurant opening times, and general maintenance of site. * Washroom lighting should be operable at anytime of the day.

Very cozy and quiet, very large pool, very friendly service and owners as well, very good food, and very large and beautiful pitches.

The showers turn off every 3 seconds and it’s very difficult to wash your hair properly. In addition, the water was too hot, it even burned. The pool also needs maintenance.

The staff is very nice

Too much to mention: Very outdated, the campsite is poorly maintained, there are piles of tiles everywhere, the website is absolutely not up to date, there is really nothing to do, food already has to be ordered the moment one reserves a table and much more

The location is right in the middle of nature, on a rolling estate.... bois.... champs. Very rejuvenating, no noise around, just birds, owls howling. You can really switch off. The pool is superb, overlooking nature. Camping without children, so absolute relaxation. Thank you

Number of deckchairs available Condition of deckchairs (one person fell due to breakage while we were there). Dishwashing area in need of repair: water running over feet, no light at 9:00 p.m., tap too close to wall. Restaurant service needs to be professionalized.

Absolute tranquillity, friendly welcome. Very clean and well-maintained facilities. Smiling, respectful guests. A swimming pool with the setting and charm of a Relais et Château. This was our second stay, but not our last. Well done to Sheila and Stuart and their team. Sylvie and Philippe.

the peace, quiet and grandeur of our location

pool seals, cleanliness (flies) in showers and washbasins, leaky men's toilets, siphons in washing-up and laundry areas. Taps not long enough at dishwashing sinks.

Stuart and Sheila are terrific hosts and have a great team. We loved everything about our stay - excellent food, wonderful location, large level pitch. We will definitely be back and we have no hesitation in recommending this superb site.

On the. basis that nothing is perfect it would have been good to have a decent mobile signal at our pitch - this did not detract from our stay S it meant we had to talk to each other!😎

Empathy by boss, example: if it is hot let people swim at 9 p.m. too, don't be so difficult, treat your guests as if they are guests! Share tips from the area! General maintenance! Flexibility! Boss was not friendly at all!

The contact with the managers and fellow campers and the annual bbq with live music. Through which we got to know many people.

The campsite is very quiet, the pitches are spacious and shady, the sanitary facilities are cleaned every day, as are the campsite walkways, the restaurant is very good, the products are of high quality, and the owners are adorable.

The telephone network is non-existent and the wi-fi is dreadful; to get it, you have to go to the bar and consume. Prices for bread and pastries and the bar are not displayed, and there is no menu. The pool and surrounding area are starting to look seriously run-down, with easily repaired water leaks in the sanitary facilities, plus a lot of working lighting in the walkways.

We really liked the peace that was there.

We had a great stay at the Chateau de Lacomté, it was a week of one of the most peaceful campsites I've been on. Bar, restaurant and swimming pool were spot on. Friendly owners and staff provided a lovely service and immaculately clean facilities. Pitches were spacious and shaded or sunny depending on your position and with hedges and trees for privacy. The local village was lovely but no shops or anything. There is however a weekly food event on Tuesday evenings. Lots of beautiful places to visit, I recommend Martel.

The peace and quiet and the warm welcome of the managers, who take great care of their customers. With magnificent grounds and a beautiful swimming pool. And very good home cooking.
