If you’re not there by car, you’ll have real trouble getting supplies— just like me, as a bike tourist. The shop—sorry—is a joke. Though it’s even worse in Göhren. Empty... shelves, expensive… just lousy.
With a little effort, they could turn this into a nice place.

Even with proper mosquito repellent, we were constantly attacked by swarms of mosquitoes (no matter what time of day or night). I’ve never experienced anything like this in over 40 years of camping. The second... major drawback—no place to swim...
The campground itself, the facilities, and the very friendly staff would actually have deserved 4 to 5 stars. We were even advised to bring mosquito repellent... But as I said, it was unbearable. Everyone we spoke to was horrified by the sheer number of mosquitoes and left as quickly as possible.

Quiet atmosphere and recreational activities.NegativnoUnfortunately, this isn't a typical stretch of sandy beachShort VacationA beautiful campground with clean restrooms, friendly staff, well-maintained grounds, and a bread roll service that doesn’t require advance orders! Excellent water and waste disposal services for RVs and all other trash. The food at the restaurant was good and plentiful—especially the wood-fired grilled... salmon. At first, we were a bit disappointed because there wasn’t a typical Baltic Sea beach, and the shores—except for a few spots—were overgrown with reeds and seaweed. (It’s a Bodden lagoon and nature reserve, which meant an annoyingly large number of mosquitoes.)🤷♀️Thanks to the shallow water, it was great for paddleboarding. We parked our RV in the second row and had a fantastic view of the Bodden and the sunset. The spot is ideal for water sports enthusiasts!! The wind was just right—there were lots of surfers out, and we had a great view of them. The restrooms are a bit dated; they’re cleaned regularly, but they still have a slightly “grimy” feel to them. The dishwashing area... and camp kitchen, however, really need renovating—I wouldn’t cook there, and doing the dishes isn’t exactly fun either. It felt like most of the guests were there with around 50 vehicles. It's quite a long way to the showers. It would have been good if the bathhouse had been open at the opening.

The showers and toilets were very clean. The sinks with a clear view of the Bodden do not make washing up a necessary evil, but you can let your gaze wander wonderfully.

The... kiosk operator was absolutely unfriendly (to all camping guests in my presence) card payment at the kiosk not possible, the sanitary facilities could be rated ok...

Budite prvi! - RNRene N.maj 2022All in all, there is room for improvement, but it's great.I've been to the site several times, but most recently under the previous operator. What I find very positive is that the sanitary facilities can be accessed without the transponder. I also hope that the showers themselves will eventually work without the attached transponder and no longer have a one-minute... waiting time. The toilet facilities at the surf meadow are a bit of a mess. Firstly, it would be great if the cubicles were a bit better sealed off so that you don't have to hear every noise from the neighboring cubicle. Secondly, it might make sense to send the cleaning crew twice a day, as it looks really bad on busy days.
I think it's great that Wi-Fi is now also available on the pitch. You would just have to install a WLAN amplifier on the toilet building near the surf meadow so that the people standing on the surf meadow can also see what the weather is doing.
Then I personally find the departure times and the barrier opening and closing times very stressful. It's quite stressful to get out by 12 noon (I'm actually on vacation). The selection in the shop could be a bit bigger, but I'm happy to be able to do some shopping on site. All in all, it could be improved and I'll definitely be back. Nevertheless, there is a lot for the operators to do. The paths on the site are a disaster, you have to be afraid that the tires will be damaged, whether by car or bike.
The beach (even for Bodden waters) could really be nicer. The stench was really bad.
The people at reception were very friendly, nothing to complain about.
