A well-organized complex with good facilities. Children's playgrounds, a ping-pong table, and a volleyball net. Plenty of places to eat out, some of which serve tasty food.

Prices are very high because the restaurant owners can only lease the properties and apparently have to pay very high rents. Camping prices are very high. For two people, one camper, and one dog for four days: 200€.
Mixed feelings.
We felt very comfortable there at first.
Unfortunately, the security guards made the campground unsafe.
They expect you to jump out of the way immediately when they come roaring down the only path in the evening on loud ATVs, glaring at everyone as they make their rounds.
When we were peacefully enjoying... a joint together on the beach at 11 p.m. (no alcohol, no loud shouting), they yelled at us that we should be considerate of minors. In fact, a high school graduation class from Reinickendorf was getting drunk at the beach bar. So, of course, we went somewhere else. But the way he came at us so aggressively out of nowhere was sickening. You could really tell how much the security guard enjoyed ruining our evening. He belongs at the door of a club at most, but not in a vacation area. Others also reported that they were harshly scolded by security after midnight, even though there weren’t any minors nearby. I find that extremely excessive.
They should instead make sure that e-bikes aren’t zooming down the only path at full speed and that you’re constantly being honked at. There were some dangerous situations involving children and dogs that were nearly run over. A speed limit is urgently needed. I don’t feel like going through the wringer on vacation.

Well, I haven't come across any other campground yet where the staff at the front desk were as friendly as they were at the nature campground in Ückeritz. Please keep up the good work.👍

Great vacation
We were with 2 campers on adjacent pitches. We had enough space for the campers, the awnings and the cars.
The sanitary facilities were always clean and close by. The power supply and drinking water supply were also close to the pitch.
The beach is just around the corner. The campsite is very well located by the water.
We had a great stay.

Some sanitary facilities are in a catastrophic state, of course due to the guests who have brought these facilities to this state. Local restaurants are still very good at ripping guests off. Food, fish sandwiches, drinks, all outrageous prices that are incomprehensible. Promises of €5.50! The food itself is worse than at a bad snack bar, exorbitant prices and then self-service! Some places only play the music and radio stations in their own language. It's unacceptable that I'm bombarded with Polish radio stations in a German restaurant. All additional offers on this campsite are only intended to rip you off. No prices can be justified with anything. Neither with Ukraine, war, or oil crisis or whatever else is reflected in the media! We have been here very often, but 2025 is the last time

ATTENTION rip-off. Never book this campsite. Campsite booked months ago. Shortly before arrival, they change the booking to a pitch half the size, where we don't even fit. When I asked for a different pitch, they simply canceled my reservation and charged me a cancellation fee equal to the deposit. Cheeky. Never again. NEVER book this campsite

Campsite with good location
We were on the pitch in the Erlengrund area in June. The site is surrounded by trees. There are lots of sunny and shady spots.
There were lots of music events in the concert shell, on the beach and also in the nearby lighthouse during our stay.
The sanitary facilities were very clean.
One door of the... ladies' single wash cubicles could not be closed. Despite informing reception, it was not possible to rectify this problem within 9 days.
The friendliness at reception was "variable".
The paving from the path from the Erlengrund area to the road needs to be repaired in many places, many stones are uneven.
Overall, we were well guided, due to the location without hotels nearby.

Beautifully situated site directly on the Baltic Sea with sandy beach, new wash house in the Erlengrund part of the site, too few water taps, the campsite has several restaurants, bakery car comes to the campsite. We liked it very much and will certainly come to the island again.

Very high price. 5€ per dog and day without any service in return. 5€/day for electricity. No drinking water on the pitch. Edeka delivers bread rolls for €1.60 to €1.80 each. The price list is printed small at a height of 2 meters. Reservation 10€. If canceled in the last 12 days 100% payment obligation. That's a nasty rip-off!
Here you are really gutted!
If the site doesn't change the prices, customers will stay away. And then there will be a lot of moaning.

Attention: Strict cancellation conditions
We booked a pitch in November 2024 for June 2025 and had to cancel again on 07.01.25.
The site charges a 20% cancellation fee despite a very long-term cancellation of 5 months. That was €80 for us. In my opinion, this is too strict.
So please make sure you read the terms and conditions.

The proximity to the beach is unbeatable

Everything else. Power connections too far away. Thank goodness we had a 30m cable reel with us, otherwise there would have been no electricity. Likewise the fresh water station. Some of the sanitary facilities too far away. Cleanliness was okay. However, the showers did not always work properly. The debiting of the shower card is also questionable. Once you put a cent on it, it was debited directly, although no water was running at all. One day we showered for 2 minutes, 1€ gone. The other day also showered for 2 minutes, 3€ gone ?! The friendliness of the cleaning staff also left a lot to be desired. You were no longer allowed to enter the sanitary facilities and had to leave as soon as the cleaner arrived. However, the times were always different, so you couldn't follow them. Even my three-year-old son was no longer allowed to go to the toilet. Sorry, but that's where it ends for me!!!! Bicycle stations too far away. We had to walk almost 30 minutes to reach one. WLAN - not available. No playgrounds in the Kiefernwäldchen area The sidewalks on the promenade were folded up at 6 pm, despite the high season.

- Place for emptying gray water is a bit inconvenient or stupid to reach - No (!) telephone/internet reception (Vodafone; better with Telekom) - Playground(s) could be much more extensive/beautiful (forest connection offers super great opportunities here) - Traffic along the main road (on which a large part of the pitches are directly adjacent) very fast (walking speed would be better) - Bread roll service only payable in cash (no digitalization; in Denmark/Sweden I didn't have to pay anything in cash anywhere...)

We stayed there for two nights with our motorhome and our two children. The site is huge and stretches along the main road, parallel to the beach. The speed limit here is 30km/h, but this is rarely adhered to. This is a bit annoying/unnecessary with children. The biggest plus point is of course the immediate... proximity to the beautiful sandy beach, which is just a few steps away from almost every pitch. Otherwise, the campsite is quite lively compared to other campsites. Apart from the beach, the facilities for children on the site itself are very limited. However, Karls Erlebnishof is easily accessible by bike. Bicycles (including cargo bikes) can be hired.

It's a real shame, but we couldn't go on our vacation because our mother had a stroke and was hospitalized. Despite this event, the campsite insisted on withholding the deposit. What did we get in return? None. They confirmed that there were no cancellation costs. Now the question is, what is the retained... deposit for? There were no costs or ? Actually a cheek, especially since it was still outside the main season. Too bad, more reputable campsites are more customer-friendly here.

Quite nice
On the whole, we felt very comfortable at Buchenhain. As the campsite is very long, it is better to arrive with a bike or e-scooter, depending on where you are placed. The visitor's tax is quite high and is compulsory, although we weren't asked about it once.

Bus and train tickets charged via the visitor's tax. Age limit lowered, i.e. from the age of 6, children pay the adult price. There should be a choice here. It is very dark on the paths in Erlengrund in the evening, especially at the edge. There are only a few lanterns on. Several stores and restaurants on the promenade have disappeared. The former flair is no longer there. There are also too few water connections.
Quality declining sharply at sharply increased prices
We have been vacationing in Ückeritz since 2015 because the atmosphere here was inviting, even for our children. This year, however, we were shocked by the high visitor's tax imposed, which includes tickets for the bus and train. Regardless of whether you use them or not. Of course, the parking space... is also more expensive again. However, there have been no renovations. The promenade has become really dull and dreary. The children's playground is not very inviting. The site scores points for its proximity to the beach. We are disappointed. A lot of money for less flair.
Oh, and bread roll price for 1 roll with beetroot or spinach flavor 2,39 € 🤢. That's extortionate.

Far too expensive for the "Acker". Not recommended for campers looking for peace and quiet. With us - from 7 nights on three nights beach party until after 01:00 o'clock in the night. Unfortunately you can hear it from the beach to the pitch. The access road runs alongside the pitches. Unfortunately, no walking speed is prescribed here. The prescribed maximum speed (30 km/h) is almost never adhered to (and that on a campsite). Sanitary area 1 is not recommended. Defective toilets and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. There is no shade in the middle area of the pitches at the Waldschänke. The trees are still too small. The lanterns are lit at full intensity throughout the night. Dimming is not possible and motion detectors are not even an option. The flat-rate electricity charge is equivalent to what a two-person household consumes in 1/2 month. Decidedly too high for one week! Waste separation (except for glass) plays no role at all here. Unfortunately, we got the impression that campers with tents are not necessarily welcome. Motorhomes and caravans are clearly in the majority here. Their pitches are mostly in the shade.

Quality decreases extremely
We have been coming to Ückeritz for several years, sometimes several times a year. I have to say that the Erlengrund area is getting worse and worse. This area used to be the flagship of the campsite. The children's playground is unkempt and does not invite children to play. The hedges that were used... to enclose the individual plots have been removed. Where there used to be grass, there are now only weeds.
A major drawback is the lack of free WiFi on the entire site, which is unfortunately only available in the reception area. This is definitely no longer up to date. The access roads in the Erlengrund are under water after rain and this does not run off due to the lack of underground drainage. Each plot also lacks its own electricity/water and sewage connection. This would definitely be a quality plus and would justify the high prices.
When a municipal employee crossed our path, he didn't look particularly motivated (must be due to the employer). A pity really.
The private retailers and restaurateurs do their best, and the municipality should take a leaf out of their book.

Great campsite!
Our good impression of the campsite began at check-in: plenty of parking spaces in front of reception and a very friendly receptionist (@Anke Räsch: thanks for that). Our pitch in the Erlengrund area fully met our expectations; close to nature and the beach, cafés and restaurants within easy walking... distance. Compliments to the service staff in the sanitary area, the washrooms and toilets were well heated and always tip-top. Great!

Due to a small organizational error, we had to change our pitch after two days, but we got a replacement of the same quality. It was a pity that the (young red-haired) groundsman thought he had to resort to the tone of a GDR VoPo. However, this did not detract from our good overall impression of the campsite.

Great campsite
A great campsite with lots of nature around it. There are lots of large showers with very hot water. The toilets were cleaned regularly.
I particularly liked the barrier that recognizes my license plate and then opens.
I was here by chance, via the Campcanis event, but will definitely be back.
