The park is old and completely neglected

The campground is wonderfully located right on the canal and across from town, which is easily accessible on foot.
The campground itself looks very old, unkempt, and showing its age.
The only place to dispose of gray water or waste tanks is at the entrance to the campground, at the RV disposal station....
Fresh water is also available there or in small containers at the restroom buildings.
All in all, this means a lot of walking.
The restroom building near the tourist sites is almost unusable.
There isn’t even a water faucet there.

The second restroom building at the reception area is somewhat better,
but simply hosing down the area with water and disinfectant isn’t enough to keep it clean.
There are cobwebs everywhere that seem to have been there for generations.

I think it’s a real shame, and under different circumstances, we would have loved to stay longer.

Permanent campsite *
Lots of permanent campers, from well-kept to Mühlhalde. Pitches partly with gravel. Sanitary facilities clean, but 3 stars? There was no hot water, only French WC. Road is very audible.
