"Camping vacation at the Duinrell "Eiland" campsite - unfortunately disappointing* - We have booked a 14-day family vacation with a caravan at the Duinrell "Eiland" campsite. We will probably leave early. Unfortunately, our expectations of a relaxing camping vacation were not met. The pitch was barely green - instead of grass, there was mostly just earth. The sanitary facilities were in an overall inadequate condition: the toilets were partially closed during the day, but not thoroughly cleaned. The showers had no temperature control, so that showers were usually only lukewarm. The catering area was also not very family-friendly. Snacks were overpriced - e.g. pancakes from €11.50. A two-hour visit to the Tiki Bad cost €8.50 per person - the cleanliness here also left a lot to be desired. One ride in the park was closed for the entire duration of our stay - without any information or recognizable prospect of reopening. The entire park made an unkempt impression: weeds, garbage and little green maintenance dominated the scene. The staff in the park were mostly unfriendly. On a positive note, we would only like to highlight the friendly ladies at reception, who always made an effort to resolve issues politely. Our conclusion: A place with a lot of unused potential, which unfortunately gives the impression that as much profit as possible should be achieved with minimal effort. For us, this was not the vacation we had hoped for - we will not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend the place to others.

"Mixed - A very noisy campsite with constant hustle and bustle. Facilities such as swimming pool inside and out great done and nothing rancid in my opinion. Attractions all well done. Restaurant not used. All takeaways are rather grotty. No matter what you order it is cold. There was fun for the kids. Beach was not within walking distance for us with two kids not quite 4 years old.

"30% price increase on the previous year!!!! - Have been going there every year for 40 years. The amusement park and tiki pool are great and are always being expanded. The beach is close by. Cycling is mega good there. Wash houses are getting on in years. Often dirty Supermarket is really good . Food in the restaurant is expensive Unfortunately it gets louder and louder from year to year / music, campers show no consideration for others. Prices have exploded 700 euros more than last year. This year we will not go there again after 40 years. Unfortunately!!!!!!!

"Duinrell camp - All the camping equipment that is needed. Clean, huge choice of sites for tent, caravan or cabins. Activities for children not only on the attractions, but also in the campground. Restaurant and shop inside with a great selection. The price of accommodation/camping includes unlimited access to the park (discount for the water park). We enjoyed.

"Loud, crowded, expensive - Loud and inconsiderate crowd of all ages. Alcohol, loud music and bawling late into the night. Over half of the toilets closed without comment. Market good but expensive. Snack bar underground, poor quality and expensive.

"NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! - The prices are so astronomical that it no longer has anything to do with camping. 30 EUR / day for parking the car is more than outrageous. It costs EUR 5 to use the washing machine for 20 minutes. So if you want to wash a full load of about 1.5 hours, you can calculate that you will be poor. This price level also applies to the restaurant: 7.50 for a portion of poffertjes. I don't even need to mention the rent for the parking space. The pitches are tiny and you feel like a fattened animal in a factory farm. The sanitary facilities are not the cleanest. The temperature in the showers cannot be regulated, which meant that I was quite cold. We paid for WiFi, but it doesn't work on the premises. Understanding of the staff: non-existent. There are lots of outdoor activities for children, which is good. But also useless in the rain. The only indoor activities of course cost a fortune again: arcade with gambling and computer games & a swimming pool for 30 EUR for 2 hours with a surcharge of 2.50 Eur for every additional 15 minutes. The money this campsite takes out of your pocket is better invested in an all-in vacation in the south. Thanks for nothing, Duinrell! The only thing I gained from this vacation is an experience.

Camping Duinrell, a source of freedom Do you know that the ultimate feeling of being free is? That you can do exactly what you like and being glad to start a new day? Listen to the birds sing, breath in …the healthy coastal air and experience the peace and relaxation of Duinrell’s first-rate campgrounds. You can choose from a variety of campsites: Comfort Extra, Comfort Plus, Comfort and Standard! Camping in comfort is possible all year round, summer and winter! Modern washroom facilities... In 2006 the sanitary facilities on the Eikenveld, the Eiland and at the entrance to the park were completely renovated and equipped with spacious, modern sanitary fittings. This quality improvement was done in order to meet all your wishes. The sanitary facilities are very convenient and have many facilities to make yours a fine stay. A washing and ironing area, kid's washroom, neat, spacious showers with free warm water, a changing room for babies, wash-hand basins and washing-up sinks with hot and cold running water, electricity and depository for chemical toilets. There are special facilities for the handicapped on the Middenveld. Free amusement park Camping guests have free unlimited access to the amusement park during their stay. The amusement park is open from 21st of March through 26th of October 2008. They receive a discount rate for a visit to the Tiki pool (€ 3.50 p.p. for two hours and free admission during the winter)
