Nice place in a French vacation region
We were there at the end of June/beginning of July 2016 and apparently the locals were not on vacation at that time. The whole region seemed like a huge vacation village to us, which was a little strange in the low season. However, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful natural surroundings... to the full. The brilliant, huge sandy beach 200 m away, which also attracts plenty of surfers, deserves special mention. The dunes and pine forests behind it are just as beautiful and are perfect for cycling. The site itself is characterized by rental accommodation, is relatively small and has a very good infrastructure (great paths, pitches, pool, playground and sanitary facilities). There is also a bar and a small kiosk, at least in high season. The only thing that took some getting used to was the irregular cleaning times of the sanitary facilities, as there are only alternatives from outside. Knowledge of French is desirable, communication in English is a little difficult.
