BEAUTIFUL PLACE, BASE FOR ISLAND TOURS CLOSE TO THE FERRY PORT
IDEAL LOCATION ON THE OUTER HEBRIDES
Laxdale-Holidaypark, a family business, is located about 2 km from the center of Stornoway in a quiet outlying area, good access. Very friendly and helpful operators, with the reservation the day before it worked.place always well occupied, therefore if possible reserve in advance (by phone possible).... In addition to the approx. 18 passers-by pitches, there are also some mobile homes, a bunkhouse and a large meadow for tents. Nice, clean sanit. Everything is available for the tent guests to wash up, washing and drying machines. Well-kept site, all pitches hardstanding. Ideal location for visiting Stornoway and the islands of Harris and Lewis. A trip around the islands is definitely worthwhile, but only with a car or smaller motorhome, as some of the roads are narrow. Stornoway is also the ferry port for the crossing to Ullapool, so be sure to book your ferry place in good time.

Only 5 minutes (by car) from the center and harbor of Stornoway, the place offers a good alternative to accommodation in the city. We weren't able to sit outside because of the mosquito season, but the grounds would have been nice, there are sheep grazing next door and it's pretty quiet. Really good shopping can be done in a huge cooperative 3 minutes (by car) away in the direction of the city center.
